REMUNERATION: R332 760 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM
 
PURPOSE
Prepare all construction and “as-built” drawings, detailing for all civil works, updating of JW standard drawings and managing the Design Section drawing filing room.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare all drawings and details necessary during the design process. Update JW standard drawings as-and-when necessary. Prepare “as-built” drawings within 2 months of completion of construction projects. File all drawings electronically and also in the filing room. Compile and maintain a register of drawings issued. Liaise with other stakeholders, e.g. GIS, Operations and Strategic Planning departments and City of Johannesburg in order to source relevant data. Assist bursar students and trainee technicians in developing their draughting skills.
 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications and experience:
  • Grade 12 / N3 (NQF 4) accredited Draughting certificate
  • 3 years draughting experience (water, sewer, roads etc.). A sound knowledge of Auto CAD
  • Drivers Licence – Code B
