Johannesburg Water (SOC) Ltd is a municipal entity owned by the City of Johannesburg. Its core purpose is to provide water and sanitation services to approximately 5.3 million people of Johannesburg. It has a R11.7 billion turnover employing +2700 people.
 
DEPOT MANAGER – LANGLAAGTE DEPOT (REF: DM/JW348/2020)
REMUNERATION: R78 325 – R117 486 (Cost to Company per month)
PURPOSE
To ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the water and sanitation services to customers under the jurisdiction of the depot
 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the provision of water and sanitation service to the public throughout the allocated depot area. Manage the installation, replacement, and testing of water meter to ensure compliance with National and Johannesburg Water standards. Plan, propose and implement pro-active measures and response to public needs. Co-ordinate and advice the Regional Manager on all matter relating to water and sanitation services. Ensure proper financial control and adherence to policies by managing overtime and standby. Ensure that safety issues raised at the Health and Safety Committee are actioned within agreed time frames.  Attend Regional service delivery meetings and ensure that decisions taken are being implemented and resolved. Manage communication within the depot. Manage all human resource process in the Depot.
 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
Essential qualifications and experience:
· National Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (NQF6)
· 5 years’ experience in water and sanitation operations of which 3 years must be at managerial level
· Valid Code EB driver’s License
