JOHANNESBURG WATER - CIVIL ENGINEER/TECHNOLOGIST

 
PURPOSE
Carry-out engineering designs in a professional, efficient and cost effective manner and assist in the planning and implementation of capital projects to achieve the Company’s annual targets.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize and implement engineering investigations and propose preliminary design solutions. Oversee designs and the respective subordinates. Prepare contract documents for tendering and evaluations thereof. Manage projects. Maintain effective communication between the Design Section, Infrastructure Planning, Investment Delivery, Operations and Communications/Stakeholder Relations. Liaise with external professionals, Council departments and public to facilitate successful project implementation. Manage contract administration and monitor site construction. Carry-out site investigations and surveys.
