The Johannesburg Social Housing Company SOC Limited (JOSHCO) mandate is to develop manage affordable rental housing for the lower market as an integral part of efforts to eradicate the housing backlog of the City of Johannesburg. JOSHCO is a registered Social Housing Institution and is accredited by the Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA). 
 
JOSHCO invites suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply for the following vacant position.
 
1. Position:  HR Manager: Administration and Employee Relations 
Employment Status:  Permanent
Department:  Corporate Services

 
Purpose of the Job: -Responsible for the management of HR operational and service matters including payroll, development and implementation of remuneration strategy, benefit administration management, recruitment & selection, development of HR policies. In addition, ensure sound labour relations, management reporting and statutory compliance.
 
Responsibilities (but not limited to the following):
 HR Administration
 Operations Management
 Industrial and Employee Relations
 Recruitment and selection
 Remuneration and Benefits
 Organizational Health and wellness
 Compliance to Statutory Requirements
 HR Policy and Procedural development and implementation
 Monitoring and Evaluation
 Reporting
 Staff management and Development
 
 
Minimum job Requirements Interested applicants must be in possession of:
 B.degree or National diploma in Human Resource Management (NQF level 8) or related field
 5 – 7 years experience within a Human resource position
 OD management and implementation experience
 Min 3 years’ experience in labour dispute management
 Labour legislation and the Codes of Good Practice
 HR Policy and Procedural development and implementation
 Mediation, CCMA and Trade union meeting proceedings
 Remuneration and Benefits
 Recruitment and selection
 Microsoft Office
 HR Information Systems, SAP, VIP etc.
 
 General Management Skills: Communication, Facilitation, Conflict Management, Relationship Management, Project Management, Ethical, General Management, Knowledge of policy and procedure development and implementation Data Analysis skills, Budgeting and Budget Management skills and Problem-solving skills.
 Technical Knowledge and Skills: Labour Legislation, Statutory compliance, Trade Union, CCMA and Bargaining Council procedures.
 Attributes: Emotional Intelligence, Persuasion, Assertiveness, Interpersonal Skills, Attention to detail, Adaptability and flexibility, and Situational sensitivity.
