OPERATIONS MANAGER: STRATEGIC SUPPORT TO THE OFFICE OF THE CEO (REF: 14/2024/42)
SALARY: R1, 900, 458 – R2, 812, 624 PER ANNUM TCTC (ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGE)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To successfully and effectively support the office of the CEO in the management of the operational delivery on the JRA strategy to ensure an efficient business and optimal service delivery to the citizens of Johannesburg.
• Assessing and implementing improved processes and new technologies and collaborating with management regarding the implementation of these improvements.
• Implement the JRA strategies by spearheading operational business and implementation plans to steer the company’s future in the intended direction.
• Working together with key stakeholders to compile an integrated budget for the JRA.
• Be a driving force for managing improvement initiatives across teams/projects/departments to deliver business benefits through staff development.
• Ensure that all business processes comply with the organisation’s governance and risk frameworks and relevant legislative framework to contribute towards the achievement of the clean audit goal of the JRA.
• Implement and continuously review a communication strategy to ensure an environment that is transparent and conducive for optimum performance through the free flow of communication.
• Contribute to the development of the JRA business strategy and Service Delivery Budget Implementation Plan (SDBIP) to ensure alignment with the City of Johannesburg’s Growth and Development Strategy (GDS) and strategic priorities.
• Provide inputs to the business plans and budgets from the organisation’s perspective.
• Enforce legislative compliance from a business perspective.
REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or relevant NQF level 7 equivalent.
• 10 years’ relevant experience in business management, inclusive of 5 years at middle and senior management level, of which 1 must be at senior management level.
The position will be based at the JRA’s Head Office in Johannesburg.
