ASSISTANT MANAGER: LABOUR RELATIONS (6 MONTHS FIXED-TERM CONTRACT) (REF: 10/2024/36) 
SALARY: R737 268.08 – R1 067 833.37 PER ANNUM TCTC (ALL- INCLUSIVE PACKAGE) 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Implement the labour relation functions and activities within the JRA.
• Ensure regular communication with ER (Employee Relations) stakeholders.
• Generate regular reports on all labour relation matters.
• Ensure that local labour forum decisions are carried out.
• Provide labour relations training to supervisors and shop stewards.
• Identify training needs and implement training programmes.
• Conduct roadshows to educate and introduce new policies.
• Handle grievance and disciplinary matters within JRA.
• Appoint the presenting officer and the presiding officer to conduct hearings.
• Facilitate grievance procedures and ensure that the matter is dealt with correctly.
• Represent the JRA at meetings.
• Attend stakeholder meetings (including the Bargaining Council and the CCMA)
• Conduct one-on-one discussions with staff in order to evaluate and provide guidance and support.
• Identify and manage the operational risks of the sub-unit and make inputs to the operational Risk Register.
• Manage the sub-unit’s budget in line with business objectives.
• Comply with supply chain processes to ensure successful implementation of operational plans activities.
 
REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
• Bachelor’s Degree in Labour Relations /HCM related field or relevant NQF level 7 equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s license
• Five (5) years’ experience in Labour Relations/HCM related field, inclusive of three (3) years in a supervisory position.

OFFICER: LABOUR RELATIONS (ER) (6 MONTHS FIXED-TERM CONTRACT) 
(REF: 10/2024/37) 
SALARY: R 348 701.35 – R523 052.02 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
• To be responsible for minute taking at different forums, and to advise the JRA on labour relations issues and legislation whilst ensuring compliance to relevant legislation.
• To support the Manager on SALGBC and disciplinary/grievance hearings.
• Preparation of various correspondences such as appointment letters, charge sheets etc.
• Advise the parties on the date and venue for disciplinary hearings.
• Compile monthly and quarterly reports on ER cases.
• Advise both the employer and employees in terms of the latest Labour Relations Laws, Principles, Regulations, Procedures and Legislations that needs to be followed and how to implement them (e.g. AWOL issues, employees fighting in the work place etc.)
• Manage and assist with the grievance procedure.
• Assist and provide advice in the Disciplinary hearing process.
• Forward a misconduct Registration Form to the line manager for completion.
• Provide advice to the line manager in terms of information the accused employee of the allegations levelled against him/her.
• Ensure that the Presiding Officer’s outcome is communicated to all parties to enable the accused employee to appeal the recommendation should a need arise, including the HCM for processing the accused and his/her union representative.
• Follow up with the applicable Appeal Authority regarding any Appeals made by the accused employee.
• Ensure that upon receipt of the notification date for Conciliations and Arbitrations, the matter is recorded on the ER register.
• Prepare for the Bargaining Council/ CCMA case in line with the ER manager’s plan.
 
REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
• Three-year (3) Diploma in Labour Relations/HCM related field or relevant NQF level 6 equivalent.
• Three (3) years’ experience in Labour Relations and/or Human Resources.

FINANCE CLERKS X2 (12 MONTHS FIXED-TERM CONTRACT) 
(REF: 10/2024/38) 
SALARY: R232 343.25 – R348 514.88 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
• To manage the entire process of job costing and follow up on outstanding work/job orders. To issue material and to ensure that monthly, quarterly and annual job reports are correctly generated.
• Follow procedures and capture information on the system correctly.
• Capture hours for labour, plant and equipment and vehicle, contractors.
• Capture the work units and measurements for the day.
• Verify that job costing expenditure is correct, as well as job costing rates are correct and loaded onto the Hansen System.
• Identify and resolve inconsistencies in data captured.
• Complete work/job orders and/ or close on the Hansen System.
• Issue material to Asphalt Plant and RSD and close their work orders.
• Generate monthly, quarterly and annual job reports correctly from the Hansen System for operations Department, as well as the Performance Management Section of JRA.
• General Finance and audit support.
 
REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
• Higher Certificate Mathematics and Accounting or relevant NQF level 5 equivalent
• Two (2) years’ accounting or finance experience.
