PRODUCTION FOREMAN: ASPHALT PLANT (REF: 05/2022/16) 
SALARY: R 386 366.36 – R 579 549.54 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
 Direct and control production of the Asphalt Plant to meet production targets.
 Develop daily production schedules.
 Plan and estimate as well as order materials required for daily production.
 Identify problematic activities or areas that can be optimised in order to improve quality, health and safety, as well as plant performance.
 Ensure daily progress feedback is given to the Assistant Manager.
 Hold production meetings.
 Compile and share production and Operations Reports
 Ensure all staff members are aware of and understand the plans, objectives and performance requirements for Asphalt Plant production.
 Oversee the general cleanliness and neatness of the plant (e.g. ensuring that it is free of litter, obstacles and hazards).
 Ensure clear markings across the plant (storage space, health and safety signs etc.).
 Ensure overall compliance to health and safety regulations as well as any other applicable acts or regulations.
 Allocate the appropriate number of staff in accordance with the requirements of the particular tasks at hand.
 Oversee the adherence to plans, work quality and the execution of all work by staff.
 Attend to staff issues.
 Ensure that appropriate record-keeping and administration are achieved in accordance with regulations (attendance registers, timesheets etc.).
 Act as a mentor or trainer to staff on the job.
 
REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
 Grade 12 and 3-year Diploma/Advanced Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Production Management or relevant NQF level 6 equivalent.
 3 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment, inclusive of 2 years in a supervisory role.
 Valid Driver’s license.

HCM OFFICER: (SUPPORT REGIONS) REGION F (REF: 05/2022/17) 
SALARY: R 315 382.45 – R 473 073.68 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
 Capture monthly input from timesheets (e.g. overtime, acting allowance, unpaid leave, changing of banking/ loan details, medical aid applications/ cancellations etc.).
 Engage new employees in the system.
 Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
 File the information within the input files that have been created.
 Check departmental timesheets whether individuals who have taken leave have submitted their leave forms to HCM.
 Check dummy payroll and correct any errors that have been picked up.
 Attend to any pay queries from staff which has to be done within three days.
 Complete all payroll administration according to a payroll time schedule. Print and distribute IRP5 to employees.
 Capture & correct leave balances on manual leave cards.
 Coordinate the recruitment process from advertisement to filling of vacancies.
 Coordinate interviews for internal and external vacancies within the JRA.
 Assist in the transfer or employee movement process.
 Monitor staff contract termination dates and advise them of termination.
 Administer termination process (e.g. resignation, medical boarding, retirement and death.
 
REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
 Three- year Diploma in HR or Administration Services related field or relevant NQF level 6 equivalent.
 3 years’ experience in HR related field of which 2 years MUST be in Recruitment, Leave and payroll Administration field.

OFFICER: FACILITIES MANAGEMENT - (REF: 05/2022/18) 
SALARY: R 257 439.83 – R 386 159.75 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
 Maintain and operationalise a single point of contact for queries and information needs between the Facilities Department and the rest of the JRA’s external units, contractors and service providers.
 Operationalise the helpdesk facility.
 Follow up on all outstanding Works Orders.
 Keep track of the status of Works Orders.
 Liaise with other units, service providers, external units as and when required.
 Maintain a schedule of all contracted outsourced services.
 Assist with documenting the schedule for all planned and reactive maintenance.
 Communicate vendor compliance requirements and Administer project management progress reporting tools.
 Perform ad-hoc tasks delegated by management as may be required.
 Liaise with project teams regarding status of the project as and when required.
 Ensure an effective filing system for the Facilities Management Unit is maintained (i.e. HSSE reports; Work Orders; processed invoices; etc.).
 Follow up on delivery of supplies for the office (depot).
 
REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
 Three-year (3) Diploma in the build environment or relevant NQF level 6 equivalent.
 3 years’ experience in Facilities Management in a similar sized environment.
 Code 8 valid driver’s license.

CONTRACT OFFICER: VEHICLE AND TRUCKS - FLEET / PLANT (REF: 05/2022/19) 
SALARY: R 257 439.83 – R 386 159.75 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
 Review specifications and identify the required plant / truck from approved supplier(s).
 Provide the required information (rates, allocations and contract stipulations) to the depot for creation of an order.
 Provide the supplier with the required order.
 Records of fleet / plant hire
 Records of fleet / plant hire for the total of spending per time frame - week / month etc.
 Records of fleet / plant hired for the time frame -week /month etc.
 Records of fleet / plant hired for over time per time frame for the week / month - ensure orders for over time.
 
REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
 Three-year Diploma or NQF level 6 equivalent.
 3 years’ administrative experience in truck and plant hiring.

COSTING CLERK (REF: 04/2022/20) 
SALARY: R 210 142.53 – R315 213.80 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
 To manage the entire process of job costing and follow up on outstanding work/job orders. To issue material and to ensure that monthly, quarterly and annual job reports are correctly generated.
 Follow procedures and capture information on the system correctly.
 Capture hours for labour, plant and equipment and vehicle, contractors.
 Capture the work units and measurements for the day.
 Verify that job costing expenditure is correct, as well as job costing rates are correct and loaded onto the Hansen System.
 Identify and resolve inconsistencies in data captured.
 Complete work/job orders and/ or close on the Hansen System.
 Issue material to Asphalt Plant and RSD and close their work orders.
 Generate monthly, quarterly and annual job reports correctly from the Hansen System for operations Department, as well as the Performance Management Section of JRA.
 
REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
 Higher Certificate in Costing, Mathematics and Accounting or relevant NQF level 5 equivalent
 1-2 years’ costing and accounting or finance experience.
