MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Auditing/Internal Audit or equivalent qualification registered at SAQA at level 6 • Membership of relevant professional bodies like IIA • Certified Internal Auditor professional qualification will be an added advantage • At least 3-5 years Internal Audit experience.
JOB PURPOSE: • Responsible and accountable for executing, conducting and reporting on scheduled audits, and ensuring that audit work conforms to the International Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and any other standards set by JCPZ.
High Level Objectives: • Execute the Internal Audit Plan • Reports on audit findings • Provides professional, objective advice • Conducts ad hoc projects.
Key Activities: • Execute internal audit projects as assigned • Prepares audit working papers that are in compliance with JCPZ Internal audit policies and procedures as well as IIA standards
• Documents processes and prepares audit findings • Prepares a summary of audit findings for review by the Manager Internal Audit • Discusses draft findings, recommendations and time lines for corrective action with responsible manager of activity audited • Prepares and presents final audit reports • Conducts follow up audits • Engages in continuous knowledge development regarding sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards • Acts as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement • Identifies loopholes and recommends risk aversion measures and cost savings • Keep abreast of best practices, new legislation and latest trends with regard to internal audit and municipality audit practices to ensure that JCPZ is compliant with all audit corporate governance and financial legislation • Assists the Internal Audit Manager in conducting ad-hoc projects as and when requested by management.
