CONSIGNMENT CONTROL
Salary: R10 553.63 - R14 246.72 per month basic plus benefits
 
 
JOB PURPOSE
Receive and capture consignments at the Main Receiving gate and ensure that consignments entering the premises of the company are correctly reflected on the delivery notes. To conduct inspections on the JM premises of vehicles to ensure alignment of stated versus actual deliveries.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recording of Delivery notes (main gate/platform level). Complete spot check register on platforms. Ensure customer satisfaction and positive rapport with all stakeholders. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of company assets. Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environment practices. Performs clerical duties and operate a computer terminal. Batch delivery notes per agent and print daily delivery notes listing. Update and maintain delivery notes per Agent and Wholesaler. Report unauthorized deliveries to the supervisor. Generate goodsreceived notes for wholesalers and print booking confirmation. Furnish investigators with queries that need to be investigated. 
Query all shortages with hall inspectors. Control unique gate numbers and cancellations with transporters. Handle telephone enquiries from different stakeholders. Ensure accurate information recorded on the system. Able to compare delivery notes to arrivals list. Able to interpret delivery note in order to capture correct quantities, commodities and issue market reference number accordingly. Understanding and adherence of Market Bylaw towards all elements. Perform other consignment duties to ensure business continuity, when required and within reason. Ensure sufficient audit trial of stock move in and out of cold store and ripening facility. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4
• 1 year relevant experience
• Willingness to work shifts
