The General Public Service Sector Bargaining Council (GPSSBC) is designated in terms of Section 36 of the Labour Relations Act of 1995 (as amended). The objectives of the Council are amongst others: •to create an environment conducive for collective bargaining within the scope of the Council •maintain and promotion of Labour peace •and the prevention and expeditious resolution of labour disputes. The GPSSBC invites skilled, suitable individuals to apply for the following position based at the Public Service Bargaining Centre in Centurion, Pretoria.
Position : DM Officer: Post-Process
Basic Salary : R331 363.00 Per annum
Benefits : Provident Fund; Medical Aid; Housing Allowance; Uniform Allowance & 13th Cheque.
Duration : Permanent
The DMU Post-process encompasses the processing of outcomes (conciliations and arbitrations), records management of all case files and recordings; the administration of any appeals through the Reviews process and; management of Applications requiring Labour Court submissions.
Requirements:
Candidates should have Degree/Diploma in Labour relations/Labour Law. + 3 years’ experience in Public Administration in a labour relations environment.
Key Performance Areas:
Preparation of daily reports/ case roll; Monitoring submission of outcomes rulings and reports for control and vetting; Preparation of adjournment reports; Handling of applications for review, including scheduling dates with commissioners, arranging reconstructions, ensuring provision of records of previous proceedings, issuing notices and receiving court orders and judgments on the filed reviews from Labour Court; Preparation of Labour Court submissions & representation as required; Handling of court orders, judgments & directives; Following up on awards; Consolidation of cases; Liaison with records management; Updating Administrators and Helpdesk on the progress of all assigned cases; Working collaboratively with Administrators to ensure efficient document management and filing procedures that comply with the organization’s practices; Performing trends analysis and preparing monthly/quarterly/annual analysis and progress reports against activities of related cases; Working as a team to solve process and operational issues for continuous improvement of the Unit; Compiling of reports against strategic objectives and plans of the Unit as required.
