PERMANENT POSITION
The Joburg City Theatres (JCT) an entity of the City of Johannesburg (COJ), operates Joburg Theatre (Braamfontein), Roodepoort Theatre and Soweto Theatre in order provide the integrated management of world class theatre venues and a high quality entertaining, innovative and inclusive programme which serves diverse communities.

Salary: R18,481.12 (basic salary excluding benefits)
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Assist with the planning of staffing levels for all units to obtain optimum productively ● Compile and implement training manuals for all front of house employees. ● Conduct regular on job training with all front of house staff ● Conduct regular testing on product knowledge, service skills & customer service ● Conduct weekly checks on all bar stock sheets and stock controls ● Conduct spot checks on cash ups within all departments ● Conduct random spot checks on stocks ● Ensure that all promotions and specials are implemented effectively throughout the group ● Conduct weekly checks on operating equipment and equipment to maintain par levels, and working condition of equipment ● Conduct audits on the back of house operations to ensure the maintenance of health and hygiene standards. ● Respond immediately to any customer complaints and provide feedback to the Food and Beverage Manager ● Maintain a high level of food & beverage quality through monthly audits of the kitchen & bar operations ● Maintain all standards within the H&C departments of JCT monitoring all irregularities pertaining to quality, service, and presentation of all food & beverage menu items ● Review constantly the product range to ensure that all key quality standards are maintained within the group ● Supervise all planning and implementation of outdoor events ● Ensure menu specials in both bars & kitchens are implemented throughout the group effectively ● Monitoring health, safety and security structures for the Unit; ● Monitor and coordinate policies, procedures and standards in the area of health and safety
Appointment Requirements:
Grade 12 (NQF 4)
Higher Certificate in Hospitality Management or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Two (2) years’ work experience of which 1 year is within a supervisory level preferably within the hospitality environment.
