DIRECTOR ADVANCEMENT

Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification in Public Relations, Marketing, Business Development or equivalent
- Proven relevant management experience preferably working within a highly structured compliance environment
- Proven track record in fundraising, public relations, marketing & communications
- Advanced computer literacy in MS Office
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of all relevant legislation applicable to a cultural institution including the PFMA.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop a fundraising strategy, policy, and plan for Iziko Museums which positions the organisation to attract investments and increase donor and self-generated income to enable public engagement initiatives and other strategic objectives
- Develop a branding strategy for Iziko Museums
- Develop and implement strategies for electronic and other communication media
- Maintain and develop relationships with potential donors and benefactors
- Plan and launch public relations campaigns to increase paying visitors to Iziko Museums
- Develop appropriate responses to media issues
- Formulate and implement best practice funding proposals
- Ensure that the departmental budget is aligned with the achievement of the objectives of the Business Plan

PROGRAMMES MANAGER
Office of the CEO

Requirements:
- Relevant 3 – year tertiary qualification in Project Management / Administration or Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation
- Proven relevant experience as project / programmes manager
- Financial management and experience in the development and monitoring of budgets

Key Responsibilities include:
- Carry out projects, programmes, and plans consistent with established policies and procedures
- Ensure sound governance and compliance with planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Planning project activities and relaying to project managers
- Ensure prompt communication between project teams and the various stakeholders
- Consolidating strategic plans, annual performance plans and baseline plans
- Develop communications, change management and risk management plans for the project team in collaboration with other related Departments
- Provide input and direction in design of a conceptual monitoring and evaluation framework

WORKPLACE RELATIONS MANAGER
Human Resources Department

Requirements:
- Relevant 3 – year tertiary qualification in Labour Law / Labour Relations or Human Resources Management
- Proven relevant experience within a unionised environment of which 2 years in a collective bargaining management capacity with a demonstrated track record of competence and success
- Relevant management experience
- Computer literacy in MS Office

Key Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Director: Human Resources in the formulation and implementation of the approved Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan for the Human Resources Department
- Drafting strategies, plans and interventions to address challenges identified in the work environment to ensure compliance and improve efficiency
- Providing input in the disaster management plan for Areas of Responsibilities and mitigating these risks
- Meeting with each staff member to discuss the skills development needs indicated as per completed Skills Audit and prioritise training to be included in the annual learning and development programme
- Managing of leave and absenteeism in compliance with legislation, policies and procedures
- Developing and implementing collective bargaining and conflict management strategies aligned to Iziko business strategies and needs
- Undertaking internal audits of the state of labour relations within Iziko Museums
- Leading and managing specialised employee relations services to the HR Team, providing front-line labour relations support to line managers
- Providing appropriate training interventions to capacitate managers in the full range of labour relations skills required including being chairpersons of hearings
- Managing collective and individual grievances and disputes which arise within Iziko, within the framework of the HR Service Delivery Model
- Facilitating the speedy resolution of collective grievances, through an effective conciliation and mediation processes
- Managing disputes to their conclusion, ensuring appropriate support to the HR Team in the case of individual disputes, and liaising with legal advisors to ensure that Iziko is represented in the CCMA or Labour Court
- Managing union engagement within Iziko, maintaining good relationships, and proactively identifying and managing points of conflict
- Provide guidance and advice on interpretation of collective agreements
- Ensuring that Line Management finalises the bi-annual performance appraisal process by supporting them through the process
- Ensuring all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes are delivered timeously.
Competencies Required:

ASSISTANT COLLECTIONS MANAGER: ART

- Assist with the preparation, registration and accessioning of new artworks
- Assist with incorporating newly accessioned artworks into collections
- Assist with drawing up of GRAP 103 inventories and verifications
- Assist with recording and providing information to the Collections Manager Art for report preparations
- Assist with the processing and preparation of loans in the collections areas according to specifications in the Collections Policy and Collections Procedure Manual
- Ensure that the display areas are kept clean and organised
- Ensure that all loan transactions are compatible with legal requirements and necessary insurance cover and permits are obtained
- Assist with transporting of artworks for exhibition, loan, conservation and other purposes.

SYSTEMS ENGINEER
FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT

Requirements:
- 3 – year tertiary qualification in Information Technology
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
- Proven relevant experience in Server, Storage, VMWare and Veeam Administration, WAN and LAN Networking technology
- Knowledge of Firewall Network Performance Tuning, Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Administration
- Advanced computer literacy in MS Office

Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist with establishing network specifications by conferring with users; analysing workflow, access, information and security requirements
- Assist with the design of router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols

DESKTOP TECHNICIAN

ASSET AND PROCUREMENT ADMINISTRATOR

- Issue asset labels for new assets
- Conduct regular asset counts
- Update asset register for any asset movements
- Run depreciation in the asset module on a monthly basis
- Assist with the supply chain management function of procurement
- Update and maintain the contracts register
- Provide assistance with the interpretation of contracts and SLA’s
- Preparing and processing insurance of assets and any related insurance cover or claims
- Assist and advise departments with insurance requests and claims
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with input into monthly schedules and provide supporting documentation related to assets, insurance, contracts and stock
- Assist with supply chain procurement queries.

CLEANER – 6 POSITIONS
SUPPORT SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Basic Salary Range: R73 980.00 – R100 068.00 per annum, plus benefits
Requirements:
- Grade 10
- Relevant cleaning experience of working with sensitive objectives and areas.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the areas of Iziko sites, which are restricted to staff, laboratory and office areas
- Maintaining a high standard of site-specific cleanliness in the public areas of Iziko sites, including: passages, exhibitions areas, courtyards, pavements, grounds, gardens and parking areas
- Clean tearooms, rest areas and ablution facilities
- Set up for meetings and cleaning of crockery and meeting area
- Perform site-specific messenger duties as required
- Dusting office furniture
- Sweeping, vacuuming and shampooing floors
- Collecting and removing of waste paper.

- Ability to work in a team and independently

- Good time management skills.
