Reporting to the Divisional Manager: Risk & Compliance, the Compliance Manager will effectively monitor and manage the compliance function within IDFC in terms of all regulatory compliance, statutory returns and implementation of the compliance programme.
The Compliance Manager will:
- Manage the implementation of the Division's compliance plans, policies and procedures.
- Support the Divisional Manager making recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of compliance and governance of all business processes within the Division.
- Manage systems and procedures in order to keep abreast with legislative changes, accessibility and/or compliance to ensure uniformity of procedures.
- Identify existing and potential risk and compliance issues for the organisation.
- Promote a compliance culture within the organisation.
- Conduct monthly follow-ups on the compliance log and report such quarterly.
- Represent Ithala in Regulator industry functions and facilitate stakeholder engagements as and when required.
- Manage compliance division’s annual budget to ensure financial sustainability.
- Ensure that divisional spend is in line with relevant legislation and adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage human capital through effective performance management and employee development and empowerment related to direct subordinates.
The following minimum requirements should be met in order to be considered:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law/LLB.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Compliance/Risk Management.
- Member of Compliance Institute of Southern Africa.
- Member of IRMSA is an added advantage.
- Code EB Driver’s License
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years in a compliance and risk management within the financial services/development Finance Corporation/Banking Environment.
Requisite Functional Competencies:
- Experience in drafting and reviewing Risk Management and Compliance policies.

Reporting to the Divisional Manager: Investment Finance, the Senior Accounts Manager will lead and support the sales team ensuring operational efficiency and service excellence through customer relationships and investment management. Conduct agribusiness funding proposal and due diligence by screening and assessing the viability of the business.
The Senior Accounts Manager is responsible for:
- Sales and acquisition of new business.
- Ensuring client relationships are effectively maintained.
- Managing investment application processes.
- Ensuring disbursement process standards are adhered to.
- Ensuring customer feedback and satisfaction.
- Resolving conflict issues timeously.
- Ensuring compliance to corporate and legislative requirements.
- Managing Human Capital
The following minimum requirements should be met to be considered:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics/ Agricultural Business Management/ Agricultural Science
Experience:
- 5 years proven experience in deal making.
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in SMME agriculture financing environment.
- 3 years' experience in managing a team, ideally in a customer facing environment.
Requisite Functional Competencies:
- Advanced knowledge of SMME financing products.
- Detailed understanding of SMME market environment.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. Banks Act, FAIS, FICA, NCA, PFMA.
- Knowledge of and experience in MS Office packages
- Must demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, and honesty.
- Knowledge of entrepreneurial challenges.
- Demonstrates strong sales/marketing acumen.
- Strong customer acquisition, retention, and relationship management skills.

Reporting to the Divisional Manager: Debtors Management and Treasury, the Debt Collections Controller/ Manager will lead and control the Debt Management Team, ensuring operational efficiency and service excellence by implementing effective debt management policies and procedures designed to reduce outstanding debt.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to:
- Identify and implement best practice in debt collection timeframes and limit arrears.
- Implement arrears status classification tracker and ensure appropriate action is taken.
- Review trends and develop mitigation strategies to address problem loans.
- Recommend and justify investment write offs.
- Develop debt management policies and procedures.
- Establish process standards in line with objectives e.g. turnaround times, service standards.
- Monitor and direct actions of the team ensuring policies and procedures are followed and service provided efficiently and effectively.
- Continuously improve processes to ensure appropriate interventions are implemented timeously.
- Ensure clients concerns are resolved efficiently.
- Ensure all procedures and processes comply with required legislation and/or corporate policies.
- Coordination with legal collection to ensure that repossessions are effectively managed.
- Manage the performance of subordinates and implement development and corrective actions where appropriate.
The following minimum requirements should be met in order to be considered:
- Bachelor’s degree in in Finance, Accounting or equivalent of NQF level 7 Commercial Qualification.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in Credit/ Debt Management.
- 3 years’ experience in managing a team.
- Strong quantitative background.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Valid code 8 drivers’ licence with own reliable vehicle.

- Basic knowledge of relevant legislation e.g., Banks Act, FAIS, FICA, NCA and PFMA
