An exceptional opportunity awaits a dynamic individual with the right qualifications and experience to manage communication between Ithala SOC Limited and its internal and external stakeholders to enhance the brand and improve public understanding of the organization, its activities and services through Public Relations (PR), Corporate Communications & Events and Corporate Social Investment (CSI). 
 
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, the successful candidate will be responsible for: 
 Building and safe guarding the reputation of Ithala SOC Limited brand. 
 Use Public Relations to position Ithala SOC Limited in line with the brand positioning. 
 Develop, review and update crises management plan on an annual basis. 
 Manage crisis communication by following set procedures or agreed guidelines per delegated powers. 
 Generate publicity for Ithala products & services to supplement paid for advertising. 
 Management of corporate events to support the business stakeholder management initiatives. 
 Support business in developing and disseminating stakeholder communication. 
 Identify and evaluate market trends and needs for publications using best practice from the market place, ensuring correct media is used. 
 Build strong relations with media and keep an up-to-date media contact list at all times. 
 Attend to media queries and prepare appropriate responses according to Ithala SOC Limited policies and media procedure. 
 Communicate media handling procedure to internal stakeholders on a regular basis. 
 Identify and implement appropriate media relations programs. 
 Prepare and submit media releases on activities to gain positive media exposure.
 Plan, develop and implement PR strategies. 
 Monitor, collate, analyze and report on PR coverage on a daily basis. 
 Write and edit in-house magazines/ newsletter, speeches and articles. 
 Organize events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours. 
 Formulate CSI strategies based on Ithala’s policies and matters policies and matters arising from environmental scan. 
 Manage the PR agency work plan and hold regular status meetings. 
 Monitor and review expenditure for planned programs. 
 Assist Ithala Education Trust Trustees in the coordination and management of Ithala Education Trust initiatives / projects. 
 
With good understanding and proven track record in Marketing, the ideal candidate will possess: 
 A three (3) year National Diploma in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or related qualification. 
 Three (3) - Five (5) years’ experience in a similar environment. 
 Understanding of media environment and media relation techniques. 
 Understanding of brand, corporate image in marketing techniques. 
 Understanding of exhibitions technology and methodology. 
 Project Management skills. 
 Excellent writing, grammar and copy editing skills. 
 Strong verbal, presentation and communication skills. 
 Critical thinking and problem solving skills

An exceptional opportunity awaits a dynamic individual with the right qualifications and experience to assume the position of a Teller. 
 
In this position, the ideal candidate will be required to: 
 Handle cash. 
 Process various types of transactions. 
 Handle administration. 
 Market Ithala Products, matching the correct product to the needs of the client. 
 
The following entry requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position: 
 Grade 12 with Maths or Accounting. 
 A FAIS recognised qualification, not less than 120 credits. 
 First Level Regulatory Examinations. 
 Two years’ previous experience in a banking environment. 
 Numeracy and excellent selling skills. 
 Computer Literacy with particular focus on the banking system. 
 Outstanding interpersonal relations. 
 Honesty and integrity. 
 Problem solving abilities and meticulous work approach. 
 Knowledge of applicable legislation e.g. FAIS, FICA, NCA, PFMA. 
 FICA compliance is mandatory. 
 Understanding of Code of Banking Practice 
 
 
In this position you will be required to work a five and a half day week, with longer working hours during pay days. All Short listed applicants will be subjected to assessments, references and credit checks.
