PROJECT MANAGER (PROPERTIES) – D1

Reporting to the Divisional Manager Property Development and Project Management, the incumbent will manage the delivery of project(s) (Government/IDFC) while working closely with clients and coordinate project work.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to: 
• Prepare project requisitions; confirm availability of project budget with group finance. 
• Compile the project implementation plan and proposed programme presentation for approval by client. 
• Assist in the preparation of appointment letters for consultants and coordinate the approval thereof with Legal Department. 
• Prepare and finalize project brief for consultants. 
• Conduct a site briefing meeting with SCM for the appointment of consultants and clearly explain requirements. 
• Manage project administration ensuring all approved procedures are adhered to and project documentation is updated accordingly. 
• Coordinate the signing of all contracts between client and contractor, ensuring that all documentation is approved and in order. 
• Coordinate the compilation of the project close-out reports and ensure they are recorded accordingly. 
• Feasibility and viability studies are compiled in conjunction with consultants to assist in the approval of projects. 
• Manage and monitor the preparation of project costs by consultants. 
 
 
The following minimum requirements should be met in order to be considered: 
• Appropriate Bachelor’s Degree/BTech degree or equivalent qualification in built environment discipline 
• Appropriate additional Project Management Qualification 
• Minimum professional registration as a Candidate Construction Project Manager with SACPCMP 
• Project Management experience in the built environment for a minimum of 5 years
• Experience in planning and implementation of construction projects from inception to close out 
• Contract Management experience 
• Knowledge of contracts, regulations and legislation related to the built environment 
• Familiar with Supply Chain Management processes and procedures
