The Information Security Manager will secure and manage ICT Governance across the organisation by designing, implementing and enforcing security controls, safeguards, policies and procedures. 
 
 
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to: 
• Develop ICT risk profile for networks, application systems and infrastructure. 
• Keep an up-to-date IT Security standards and procedures. 
• Update and monitor risk register. 
• Evaluate effectiveness of implemented controls. 
• Address and report on ICT Audit issues. 
• Conduct risk assessments on ITC Projects. 
• Conduct threat assessments in the environment. 
• Provide ICT risk mitigation advice to development teams, project managers and management. 
• Provide minimum security requirements for systems. 
• Review and update IT Disaster Recovery Plan. 
• Ensure compliance with Policies and applicable legislation. 
• Define and design the ICT Security Governance requirements. 
• Develop and implement an ICT Security Policy framework. 
• Develop ICT Security strategy. 
• Ensure inclusion of ICT Security requirements in all ICT Policies and processes. 
• Provide ICT Security advice. 
• Monitor and report on ITC Security operations. 
• Advice management of ICT Security issues. 
• Manage Human Resources. 
 
The following entry requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position: 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/IT Audit. 
• Post Graduate degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/IT Audit will be an added advantage. 
• Professional security qualifications such as CGEIT / CISSP / CEH / CISM / CRISC / CCIE (or equivalent) will be advantageous 
• Seven (7) years or more practical experience in IT or Information Security, of which five (5) years must include an IT, Network or Information Security role, with the last three (3) years in an active Information Risk management role. 
• Working knowledge of and experience in the policy and regulatory environment of Information security. 
• Understanding of Risk Management processes and Enterprise Architecture design processes. 
• Understanding of Information and knowledge management strategies. 
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 
• Good Communication skills. 
• Presentation skills. 
• Report writing skills 
• MS Office skills. 
• Familiar with COBIT, ITIL and ISO27001/2. 
• Must be professional. 
• Must be assertive. 
• Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of constituencies and diverse group of people.
