An exceptional opportunity awaits a dynamic individual with the right qualifications and experience to manage insurance sales new business acquisition and retention functions and duties within Ithala SOC Ltd. 
 
 
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to: 
 Formulate the insurance retention strategy and the business implementation plan. 
 Keep abreast with significant events and changes in the financial services industry and advice the organization accordingly. 
 Achieve and exceed monthly insurance retention targets as set out in the insurance business plan. 
 Identify, plan, design and implement opportunities to improve customer loyalty. 
 Create access to updated market and pricing information by clients. 
 Participate in key sales retention projects as and when required. 
 Collaborate with sales management on ideas to implement new tactics to acquire new and retain existing customers. 
 Assume responsibility to maintain high levels of client’s retention and reactivation. 
 Improve the cross sell ratio to existing clients in line with the strategy of the business unit. 
 Ensure improved customer satisfaction to existing and new clients. 
 Instil professionalism and improved levels of communication and engagement by frontline teams. 
 
 
The following minimum requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position: 
 B.Com degree in sales and marketing or equivalent relevant tertiary qualification. 
 Minimum 3 years’ sales experience in Banking and/or Insurance business. 
 Must have consultative selling experience. 
 Code 08 Drivers’ License. 
 Must be FAIS Accredited. 
 Must have thorough understanding of Insurance Products. 
 Understand policies and procedures pertaining to Insurance. 
 Computer literacy in Microsoft Office. 
 Must practice good business sense and ethics. 
 Have excellent customer service skills. 
 Possess the capability to work in pressurized environment. 
 Must be results orientated and efficient in meeting targets. 
 Must have excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills. 
 Must be knowledgeable of all legislation pertaining to Insurance (i.e. PPR, TCF, FAIS, FICA, and Consumer Protection Act etc.) 
 Thorough working knowledge of Short Term (Non-Life) Insurance Act , Long Term (Life) Insurance Act and the South African Law of Insurance. 
 Have good planning, organizing and analytical skills. 
 Must be a strong team player. 
 Must possess excellent communication skills. 
 Must be proactive. 
 Meticulous on detail
