SENIOR ACCOUNTING CLERK: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
SALARY PER ANNUM: R255 450 (REF: NO: ITAC 01/2025)
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) or National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Accounting or a Finance related field. Two years public sector financial administration experience. Computer Literacy. Knowledge of SAGE 300 will be an added advantage.
Key responsibilities: Ensure that all invoices received are correct, captured on SAGE 300 and manage creditors' age analysis. Prepare schedules (e.g. accruals, legal provisions, leave provisions, payment compliance register etc.) for monthly management accounts. Reconcile general ledger accounts for payables. Prepare monthly journals and reconciliations. Assist with monthly inventory stock count. Support internal and external auditors with queries. Maintain records, filings, and important documents. Assist with monthly and year end functions. Provide ad hoc support to the CFO. Monitor and mitigate risk that might be associated with the Finance unit.

ADMINISTRATOR: IMPORT AND EXPORT CONTROL X 2 POSTS (TWO-YEAR CONTRACT)
SALARY PER ANNUM: R255 450 plus 37% IN LIEU OF BENEFITS (REF: NO: ITAC 8/2025)
Requirements: Applicants must be in possession of a Senior Certificate, coupled with a good understanding of the Import and Export environment. Proven experience in office administration. Advanced computer literacy. Ability to work in a team and under pressure as well as to render creative contributions to the organization. Ability to function independently and communicate efficiently.
Key responsibilities: The successful candidate will be required to assist in the administration of the relevant provisions of the International Trade Administration Act, specifically but not limited to the administration of a price preference system, applicable to the exportation of ferrous and non-ferrous waste and scrap and/or exportation of semi-finished metal goods and/or importation of metal working machinery. This will include receiving import/export permit applications submitted electronically, by hand or mail. Sorting of hard copy applications according to type (e.g. aluminium, copper etc.) and distributing applications to the relevant managers for further processing. Management and capturing of information relating to all transactions captured and approved on the system, including management, and filing of hard copy information. Participate in adjudication process, minute keeping and other related duties. The successful candidate may be required to attend to any other related ITAC duties that may be required from time to time.
