Job Title: SENIOR MANAGER: LOGISTICS AND INFRASTRUCTURE (Centurion Head Office) [Ref: NO-0261]

Overview
Lead the logistics and infrastructure department;
 
 
Responsibilities/Duties
Lead the logistics and infrastructure department; develop and maintain the department's, policies, processes and resources to support and ensure compliance and adherence to approved strategy and relevant legislation; provide strategic leadership in the voting station provisioning function within logistics and ensure that all elections materials are planned, procured and delivered timeously; provide leadership in the warehousing and distribution functions within logistics to ensure effective warehousing, inventory management, transportation and distribution of electoral materials and other goods; oversee the infrastructure function to ensure effective establishment of infrastructure provision for municipal electoral offices, establishment of appropriate voting station infrastructure. Maintain sound financial management, administration and human resource management of the division. Liaise with the relevant role-players in the logistics and warehouse environment.
 
 
Requirements
Matric/N3 and a tertiary qualification and at least 8 years' relevant working experience in management of large scale Logistics, Warehouse distribution and Supply Chain departments of which at least 6 years must be at management level (manager or director or equivalent). Knowledge of SAP ERP systems will be an added advantage; knowledge of warehousing and distribution systems; knowledge in development of bills of materials and associated material requirement is essential; understanding of democratic electoral processes and legislative frameworks in South Africa. Strategic leadership and management within a diverse environment; a proven track record of project management is essential as is knowledge and understanding of the PFMA and treasury regulations; experience in budgetary planning and expenditure reporting. Possess the following skills and attributes: building strategic relationships; problem-solving and people and team management; decision-making; sound verbal and written communication skills; good interpersonal skills; liaison and negotiation skills and experience; conflict resolution skills. Travel extensively both local and internationally and a valid driver's license.
