Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for appointment to the following position/s in the administration of the Electoral Commission, a state institution established by Chapter 9 of the Constitution. Remuneration: Twelve (12) months contract at R7101.11 per month
Overview
The Intern: HR will contribute towards the efficient administration and co-ordination of human resources projects in the Organization. The Intern reports to the Senior Admin Officer HR & Training.
Responsibilities/Duties
Key performance areas: The Intern duties will include the following: Assist in the implementation of human resources generalist practices and administrative duties, i.e. Employee Relations, Employee Wellness, Skills Development, Performance Management and Recruitment and Selection (advertisements, appointments, transfer, verification of qualifications, secretarial functions at interviews, absorptions, probationary periods, etc.) Implement conditions of services (Leave, injury on duty, long service recognition, relocation, etc.). Assist in developing training plans, collation of training reports and submission of training reports.
Requirements
Basic requirements: Applicants must be in possession of Matric / N3 certificate and a Completed tertiary qualification (Degree/ Diploma) in HRM/ LR/ Training & Development/ OD (a post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage) with no experience.
The candidate must possess good communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. He/ she must be computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel and possess the following attributes: ability to work under pressure; be prepared to work long hours; pro-active; decisive; confident and be service driven.
