PURPOSE : To ensure that all service providers and people working on projects are paid timeously and correctly, ensure availability of reports on financial progress of projects.
REPORTING : PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
REQUIREMENTS: Formal Qualification: A Minimum of a 3 Years Diploma in Accounting /Financial Management/Cost and Management Accounting/B Com Degree or equivalent. Work Experience: Minimum of 3 Years’ experience in Financial Accounting/ Cost and Management/ Project Accounting experience. Competencies: People Management, Accounting Procedures, Financial Policies, PMFA, Financial Ratio Analysis, Accounting Package, Financial Management, Budgeting and Cost Control, Billing Procedures, Business Administration and Management. Skills: Bookkeeping skills, Negotiation skills, Planning skills, Analytical skills, Interpersonal skills, Team Building skills, Presentation skills, Observation skills, Computer skills, Communication skills.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Ensure timeous payment of service providers, ensure that programme budgets are loaded on the system, Provide accurate Project reports and Perform Administrative Functions

REQUIREMENTS: Formal Qualification: A minimum of a National Diploma (NQF 6) In Auditing or related field. Work Experience: A minimum of 5 Years working experience within a finance/audit environment. Experience at supervisory level will be an advantage. Competencies: Working knowledge of IT systems and standard MS-office products, ability to work independently, Microsoft Office, Project Status Tracking, Business Management Principles, Administration Management, Information Management, PFMA, Treasury Regulations and other relevant legislation, framework and protocols, Corporate governance, Performance Audits, Understanding of Public Sector Environment, Good knowledge of GAAP and Financial Reporting. REQUIREMENTS: Formal Qualification: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Social Sciences i.e. Development Studies, Development Planning, Community Development, Development Economics, Rural/Regional and Urban Planning, Social Impact Assessment, Agriculture, Sustainable Development. A formal qualification in Project Management is a must. An unendorsed Code EB (Code 08) drivers licence or equivalent. Work Experience: A minimum of 6 years’ Project / Programme management experience in the Social Development Field, including 3 years in a management role. Competencies: Programme and project management, Community and institutional development, Development facilitation, Sound knowledge of PFMA, Treasury SCM regulation, Occupational Health, Safety, Environment and Quality assurance, Relevant sector (e.g. Education, Health, Justice, Economic, Environment, Energy, Social Welfare ) knowledge.
