INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT TRUST (IDT)
The IDT is a Schedule 2 Public Entity, established as a development management agency. Its primary role is to influence, support and add value to the national agenda. The IDT is mandated to measurably impact on the eradication of poverty and to improve the quality of life of poor, rural and marginalised communities. To assist us in achieving this, we wish to appoint dynamic individuals in the following positions:
MANAGER – FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
JOB LEVEL : DL
REGION : NATIONAL OFFICE
LOCATION : PRETORIA
DURATION : 3 YEAR CONTRACT
PORTFOLIO : FSU
PURPOSE : Management of the Financial Accounting Department, including Accounts Payable, Revenue and Debtors and Statutory Reporting
REPORTING :General Manager: Finance
REQUIREMENTS :A CA (SA), Completed Articles will be beneficial, an unendorsed Code EB (Code 8) Drivers Licence or equivalent, At least 3-5 years’ experience in a Financial environment, at least 3-5 years’ experience in audit and year-end processes, Billing/Invoicing and Debtors management will be beneficial, Project Accounting experience will be beneficial, 3-5 years’ ERP exposure, Case Ware experience, Strong Excel skills.
Competencies: Financial Transactional Processing, Compilation of Annual Financial Statements, IFRS, Financial Reporting, Financial Systems, Tax Legislation and other related legislation, Accounting Packages.
Skills: Planning Skills, Presentation Skills, Analytical Skills Interpersonal Skills, Communication Skills, Problem-solving Skills Computer Skills, People Management Skills.
DUTIES :Oversee the processing of vendor payments, Prepares financial reports, annual financial statements and assist with annual audit process, General Ledger, Ad-hoc, Perform monthly billing and invoicing, Debtors and cash flow management, Fixed Asset Management, Manages staff.
