INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT TRUST (IDT)
The IDT is a Schedule 2 Public Entity, established as a development management agency. Its primary role is to influence, support and add value to the national agenda. The IDT is mandated to measurably impact on the eradication of poverty and to improve the quality of life of poor, rural and marginalised communities. To assist us in achieving this, we wish to appoint dynamic individuals in the following positions:
POST : CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

LOCATION : PRETORIA
DURATION : 5 YEAR CONTRACT
PORTFOLIO : ICT
PURPOSE : The role is responsible for organisation wide information systems management and monitoring & evaluation to enable business efficacy and to support organisational learning and operations improvement.
REPORTING : Executive Head: CSU
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum of a Post Graduate Degree in Information Sciences or Development Studies. A formal qualification in management or monitoring & evaluation would be an advantage. Minimum of 8 years’ management experience, 3 of which must be at a senior management level.
Competencies: Strategy development and management, Information systems and technology, General management, Financial Management, Statutory requirements, Impact evaluation and assessment, Outcomes-based planning and People Management.
Skills: Conceptual Ability, Planning Skills, Coordinating Techniques, Administrative Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Team Building Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Communication Skills, Analytical Skills, Lateral Thinking Skills, Presentation Skills, Facilitation Skills, Report writing Skills, Conflict Management Skills, Negotiation Skills and Decision Making Skills.
DUTIES :Oversee Information Systems and Technology Management, Develop and implement Monitoring and Evaluation processes and tools, Oversee Information Management functions, Facilitate Innovation Projects and Initiatives, Financial Management and Oversee Unit Leadership and Management.
