SAFETY AND SECURITY OFFICER
JOB LEVEL : C2
SALARY RANGE : Total Annual Package (CTC) – R395,487.00 - R465,278.00
LOCATION : ICASA (Head Office – Eco Park, Centurion)
POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
To provide a conducive incident free working environment which promotes safety and security to safeguard all ICASA’s assets and infrastructure at Head Office and Regional Offices.
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Security Manager and their responsibilities will include:
● Conduct physical security assessments at Head Office and Regional Offices.
● Inspect the perimeter fence, security lights and other security features daily in the premises. ● Conduct investigations on safety and security breaches.
● Assist in planning and taking part in emergency evacuations and fire drills.
● Compile monthly invoices for the payment of security service providers.
● Co-ordinate the provision of escort services to all employees, contractors and visitors within ICASA premises.
● Issue office keys to authorised officials, complete and keep an up-to-date key control.
● Provide security induction to new security guards on site, monitor and review their performance.
● Peruse all security registers in place and ensure safekeeping of all used registers.
● Ensure that a proper hand-over is conducted when changing shifts and report any discrepancies/risks.
● Manage the locking and opening of all office buildings during fumigation.
● Co-ordinate the recording and handling of firearms and dangerous weapons entering the premises.
Qualifications and Experience: ● A National Diploma/Advanced Certificate in Security Management/Forensic Investigation/Policing (NQF6). ● A minimum of 3 years’ experience in security management at corporate environment ● Grade B PSIRA accredited certificate ● A valid driver’s license ● Corporate investigation experience will be an added advantage

MANAGER: MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS (MIS)

POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
To ensure that the IT department can assist the operating departments with their line-of-business systems requirements. The individual helps identify the business needs, determining whether & how best Information Systems (IS) can contribute to meeting them, and formulating request for proposal specifications (e.g. IS-related tenders). The Management Information Systems function must particularly strive to stimulate innovation within business units and promote a broader cross-business unit perspective where different business units can use system components. The incumbent is responsible for implementing the business-related sections of the Master Systems Plan under the Senior Manager’s direction.
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager: IT and the responsibilities will include: ● The development and successful delivery of an annual operating plan which supports the key strategic objectives of the Authority ● Manage the MIS Team ● Manage third party vendors supporting ICASA systems ● Evaluate system requirements ● Manage MIS risks ● Ensure compliance to IT governance frameworks ● Develop terms of references for new MIS procurement requirements.
Qualifications and Experience ● Degree in Information Systems or related field of study (NQF 7) ● 3+ years experience in Management ● 5+ years experience in IT Systems development ● 2+ years experience in managing projects ● 3+ years experience in managing 3rd party support/solution providers ● NQF 8 would be an added advantage ● 2+ years experience in IT Operations would an added advantage.
