JOB TITLE : RADIO FREQUENCY SPECIALIST – BROADCASTING
FREQUENCY CO-ORDINATION
JOB LEVEL : D1
SALARY: Total Annual Package (CTC) – R765,961.00
LOCATION: ICASA (Head Office- Eco Park, Centurion)
POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
To conduct technical planning, analysis and processing of broadcasting radio frequency spectrum licences applications and assignments through sound engineering principles.
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Manager: Broadcasting Frequency Co-ordination, and their responsibilities will include: ● Radio Coverage prediction and interference analysis ● Spectrum Licensing ● Terrestrial Broadcasting Frequency Plan ● Participation in Committees ● Technological Research ● Policies and regulatory processes ● Project Management ● Stakeholder management.
Qualifications and Experience: ● Relevant Honours/4-year degree (NQF L8) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering ● 3 - 5 years Managerial Experience ● 4 – 7 Years professional Experience ● 6-8 Years working Experience in radio frequency planning and/or design ● Knowledge of wireless, analogue and digital broadcasting technologies and standards ● Knowledge of electromagnetic and respective frequencies.
