Purpose of the job : To conduct research on social policies and regulatory requirements relating to provision of broadcasting services in a three-tier system of public, commercial and community broadcasting services. To assist the Manager in developing regulatory agenda to support the future growth path of broadcasting services.

Purpose of the job : To conduct research on social policies and regulatory requirements relating to provision of broadcasting services in a three-tier system of public, commercial and community broadcasting services. To assist the Manager in developing regulatory agenda to support the future growth path of broadcasting services.
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Manager: Content Services, and responsibilities will include: â— Conducting research into the regulation of broadcasting and content material relating to access to ICT services â— Conducting RIA and demand studies â— Keeping abreast with developments in the regulation of ICT services â— Conducting workshops and making presentations to stakeholders as and when required â— Providing in-depth research and analysis into their area of work â— Compiling and writing consultative and policy documents and drafting regulations â— Make presentation to the stakeholders on issue
Qualifications and Experience: ◠Academic Degree/3 years Degree (NQF L7) in relevant fields such as Social Science, Broadcasting Journalism, Developmental Economics, Law or Statistics ◠3–5 years professional experience ◠4 – 6 years working experience of which 3 must be in research field ◠Proven track record of conducting research in the social sciences, law and Broadcasting policy ◠Proven track record of working with qualitative and quantitative methods ◠Proven track record on conducting research and drafting research reports ◠Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
