RESEARCHER: CONTENT SERVICES 
JOB LEVEL : C2 
SALARY : Total Annual Package (CTC) – R415,110.00 
LOCATION: ICASA Head Office
POSITION STATUS : Permanent 
 
Purpose of the job : To conduct research on social policies and regulatory requirements relating to provision of broadcasting services in a three-tier system of public, commercial and community broadcasting services. To assist the Manager in developing regulatory agenda to support the future growth path of broadcasting services. 

 
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Manager: Content Services, and responsibilities will include: ● Conducting research into the regulation of broadcasting and content material relating to access to ICT services ● Conducting RIA and demand studies ● Keeping abreast with developments in the regulation of ICT services ● Conducting workshops and making presentations to stakeholders as and when required ● Providing in-depth research and analysis into their area of work ● Compiling and writing consultative and policy documents and drafting regulations ● Make presentation to the stakeholders on issue 
 
Qualifications and Experience: â— Academic Degree/3 years Degree (NQF L7) in relevant fields such as Social Science, Broadcasting Journalism, Developmental Economics, Law or Statistics ● 3–5 years professional experience ● 4 – 6 years working experience of which 3 must be in research field ● Proven track record of conducting research in the social sciences, law and Broadcasting policy ● Proven track record of working with qualitative and quantitative methods ● Proven track record on conducting research and drafting research reports ● Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
