N6 INTERN PROGRAMME X2: RIVERSDALE
 
Applications are hereby invited from candidates who have successfully completed their N6 studies in the following fields:
• Management Assistant
• Public Administration
• Human Resources
 
Internship will be granted for a period of twelve (12) months with a monthly stipend of R 4 000.
 
The successful candidates will be placed in Riversdale. Candidates must reside in the Hessequa Region.
 
 
Instructions to applicants:
Municipal application form must be submitted electronically to jaundre@hessequa.gov.za. This is the only e-mail address that will accept applications. Applications submitted electronically must not exceed 4MB.
Application forms must be completed in full. A Curriculum Vitae must be attached.
Certified copies of qualifications & ID must accompany the application along with proof of residence, banking details and SARS Tax Number. Candidates who previously received internships will not be considered.

​The Hessequa Municipality requires the services of a suitable person in the following permanent vacancy:
 
MANAGER: MUNICIPAL PLANNING - RIVERSDALE
(Ref: B007) T16 – R691 969 to R898 234 gross salary per annum
A transport and cell phone allowance are additional benefits.
 
Requirements: Relevant degree in Town and Regional Planning (NQF7) • Must be registered as a Professional Planner in accordance with the Planning Professions Act 32 of 2002 • Knowledge of CAD and GIS • Valid Code B driver’s license • Computer literate • Good communication, interpersonal and management skills • Able to communicate in two of the official languages of the Western Cape • Eight years’ relevant experience required inclusive supervisory with at least five years’ experience in a managerial role.
 
Duties: Manage the key performance areas with regards to Planning • Maintain a risk register • Manage processes, applications and requirements related to Developmental Plans and Spatial Frameworks • Regulate and control illegal land uses • Enforce the town planning scheme and by-laws • Implement the land use management system and scheme • Oversee the operations of the GIS section • Process and evaluate certain delegated Developmental applications • Budget and Financial control • Personnel and Performance Management • Comment on Building Plan applications • Prepare reports for the Planning Tribunal, Appeal Committee and the Delegated Official • Handle enquiries • Perform administrative tasks.
