SUPERVISOR: FACILITIES MANAGEMENT 
[Paterson Grade C2] 
Remuneration package: R456, 422 per annum (Cost to Council) 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION: 
 Grade 12 plus N. Diploma /degree OR relevant NQF L6 qualification in Facilities Management/ Property Management/Project Management/Built Environment/Engineering. 
 2 years supervisory experience in facilities management/project management. 
 
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS 
 Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and security systems. 
 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
 Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed. 
 Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems. 
 Excellent management and supervisory skills and good interpersonal skills 
 Knowledge of relevant Legislations (SANS10400, OHSA, National Building Regulations and Building Standards Act) 
 Ability to communicate effectively across all levels. 
 Project management skills 
 Risk management skills 
 Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. 
 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 
 Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance division. 
 supervisor the maintenance of all HPCSA facilities, include rental spaces where is required in line with the maintenance plan. 
 Plan, co-ordinate and inspect contract work on electrical, plumbing, and other related systems. 
 Supervise and monitor the maintenance of buildings, gardens and cleaning of buildings in line with Maintenance plan. 
 Monitor work carried out by external service providers, in line with the SLA. 
 Plan and co-ordinate renovations of existing facilities. 
 Drafting of specifications and supervise service delivery. 
 Assist in the preparation of various contracts, requests for proposals, and reports. 
 Engage/ Liaise with Service Providers to attend to services required. 
 Ensure that asset movements or changes (furniture and equipment) are recorded and reported to the relevant Asset personnel. 
 Assist with raising of requisitions electronically on ORACLE for all maintenance and other support related services. 
 Purchase of small items required for maintenance and repairs from credit card. 
 Receive internal requests and assign responsibilities to maintenance officers. 
 Supervision of subordinates. 
 Perform any ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Manager: Facilities Management. 
 Monitor access control (Biometric system), security services and CCTV. 
 Monitor and timeously action service request received. 
 
 
NOTE: The position requires a person with good health and physical fitness.

BUSINESS ARCHITECT- ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE REVIEW PROJECT 
(12 months fixed-term employment contract) 
Paterson grade D3 
Remuneration package: R1, 105, 669 per annum (Cost to Council) 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 
 Bachelor’s degree in Business Science. 
 Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering will be an added advantage. 
 10 years or more of experience with building business models. 
 
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT. 
 Knowledge of Enterprise Architect and other applicable frameworks (TOGAF, ZACHMAN, GWEA, FEAF, BIZBOK, BABOK) 
 Advanced Business Process Management (BPM)

 Stakeholder management and communication skills

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 
 Providing architectural solutions for business organizations to address structural issues that hinder achievement of company goals. 
 Partnering with IT architecture team(s) in ensuring that the IT framework that aligns with the business strategy and plan. 
 To align the HPCSA’s technology strategy with its business, mission, strategy, and processes and documenting this using architectural models. 
 Ensuring that the business and operating models are in keeping with the company’s mission statement. 
 Ensure that HPCSA mandatory business capability model is aligned to HPCSA strategy. 
 Ensure Organizational Structure review is driven from Business Architecture/ operating model to give impetus to consistent strategy and mandate implementation. 
 Leading Senior Management through the development of a business architecture/ operating model plan for the varying lines of business. 
 Evaluating and present information that will facilitate effective and timely decision-making through written and oral communication materials that effectively summarize findings with recommendations. 
 Collaborating across business segments to both find opportunities for and showcase ideas in the Innovation and emerging business pipeline. 
 Transferring ideas to research and development and eventually to workable projects. 
 Evaluating new technologies to determine their potential to grow the organization. 
 Assisting in developing and maintaining of software that supports the organization’s processes. 
 Identify business architect/ operating model, technology, IT process and systems gaps and recommend how to close the gaps.
