CASH AND BANK OFFICER
Paterson grade: B3
Remuneration package: R290, 647 per annum (Cost to Council)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 with Accounting plus an N6 Certificate OR National Higher Certificate in Accounting or Finance-related qualification | 2 years’ financial experience.

Time Management skills | Attention to detail and Accuracy | Integrity and Confidentiality | Problem-solving skills | Excellent Communications skills | Excellent Financial Management skills | Ability to work under pressure | Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Excel and Word).
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Perform daily manual reconciliation of unreconciled transactions across all bank accounts | Ensure that all monies receipted through the online portal (PayGate) are reconciled accurately, completely, and within the required timeframes, with any reconciliation variances identified promptly | Follow up daily with relevant clients, departments, and divisions to ensure that reconciliation discrepancies are addressed and resolved timeously | Ensure that all finance-related queries are attended to promptly and brought to final resolution | Notify the Accounts Payable Unit of any unpaid transactions reflected on the bank statements for further action | Prepare cost allocations for Business Credit Card transactions | Submit monthly credit card reconciliations to the Accountant: Cash Management for review and approval | Ensure that all credit card statements and supporting documentation are accurately maintained, properly filed, and securely saved for record-keeping purposes.
