BUSINESS ANALYST - ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE REVIEW PROJECT
(12 months fixed-term employment contract)
Paterson grade D2
Remuneration package: R954, 074 per annum (Cost to Council)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or commerce field.
5 years of post-qualification experience in business analysis.
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
An MBA degree.
Business Analysis Certification.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of IIBA methodology (BABOK)
System development lifecycle (SDLC)
Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
Software Quality Assurance
Project management
Stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft packages (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word)
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
Provide subject matter proficiency in specific functional area(s) to the assigned teams.
Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
Persuading of stakeholders to support business projects.
Performing requirements analysis.
Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
Provide user stories to multi-disciplinary teams and define the business-driven acceptance criteria.
Ensure that resolutions to the complainant and to the practitioner are executed timeously.
Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Documenting and communicating the results.
Management of specific aspects of projects including business process models, specifications, and budgets.
