To support in the Development of ERP programs on the ODOO Platform, which is an open source platform.

Minimum requirements: 

  1. IT or Computer science related degree qualification.

Minimum Experience:
  1. At least 5 years of development experience (Python)
  2. Proficiency in Python, Javascript, XML.
  3. Readiness to learn a new language and frameworks
  4. Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix development environments is a must.

Desired skills
  1. Docker and kubernetes experience
  2. Sound knowledge or exposure to Odoo

Duties:
  1. Application development using Odoo framework & components.
  2. Bug fixing, performance optimization, production support.
  3. Carrying out Odoo development activities for Customization, Code Migration, Data Migration & Import, Generating ERD Reports, Functional Test/User Acceptance Test, Automation Test & Unit Test.
  4. Analyze and clarify functional specifications, write technical specifications, design technical structure of the solution, and implement business logic.
  5. Work closely or in coordination with Team as needed to plan, scope, design, develop, test, implement, support, and enhance Business applications and it's features/solutions.
  6. Understanding the requirements and participating in project planning by giving an estimation of the work to Team.
  7. Make sure to follow the prescribed coding and development best practices to give high-quality output as per the requirement.
  8. Adherence to the latest development methods like continuous deployment & integration.
  9. Assess the impact of potential changes/customizations in Odoo’s core business apps, implement solutions to mitigate negative outcomes. 
  10. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, algorithms, data-flow diagrams, layouts, user-flow diagrams, charts, code comments, and keeping code clean, readable, and optimized.
  11. Must possess a strong learning curve and should be willing to learn new skills and concepts.

Cost to Company: Salary range R552 712 - R746 975 per annum
