WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR 
Hulamin is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join the Casthouse department. This position is based in Richards Bay. 
 
The core responsibilities of the position include: 
• Planning and controlling of received dispatched stock. 
• Accurately checking the incoming stock 
• Ensuring that the dispatched stock is correct and according to the delivery note or invoice. 
• Accountable for all stock control and discrepancies. 
• Ensuring that tasks are executed within set safety, quality, and business practice standards. 
• Managing team training and development, employee relation and engagement, performance, and administration. 
• Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation. 
• Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse department. 
• Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers. 
 
The requirements for the position include: 
• Matric, 
• A relevant tertiary qualification in supply chain, logistics or business management. 
• At least 5 years of Warehouse-related experience. 
• Driver’s License Code 08 and be able to drive a forklift. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Maximo. 
• Good Industrial Relations skills. 
• Good interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. 
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills. 
• The ability to work unsupervised, under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 
• The ability to prioritise, use own initiative and discretion within the scope of the position. 
• Practical hands-on approach with the ability to analyse, problem solve and take corrective action. 
• An efficient and systematic individual with a proactive work ethic.

SHE COORDINATOR 
Hulamin is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced SHE Coordinator to join the Casthouse department. This position is based in Richards Bay. 
 
The core responsibilities of the position include: 
• Ensuring compliance to safety, health, environment, and quality standards. 
• Plan and participate in the overall Risk management (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) activities. 
• Execute and report SHE and Quality audits regarding compliance and effectiveness of SHEQ controls systems. 
• Oversee of the Contractor Management System to ensure compliance to legal and Hulamin SHE standards. 
• Conduct SHE incident investigation to determine the root cause, recommend corrective action and ensure proper records are completed, submitted, and retained. 
• Administration of SHE Documentation System. 
• Plan and participate in scheduled routine SHE continuous improvement activities with the aim of improving safe working practices, conditions, and compliance to quality procedures. 
• Conduct, schedule and oversee departmental SHEQ training, including employee induction, statutory and risk assessment to encourage a culture of safety and quality. 
• Coordinate medical surveillance programme. 
• Plan and participate in the departmental walkabouts, Visible Felt leadership and GEMBA sessions and follow up on the closure of the non-conformances noted. 
• Plan and participate in the SHEQ meetings. 
 
The core requirements for the position include: 
• Minimum requirement is a National Diploma in Safety Management. 
• B-tech or a Degree in Safety will be an advantage. 
• Good knowledge of the OHSACT (Construction Regulations). 
• At least 5 years of SHE management experience. Knowledge and experience in a metals melting or casting environment will be preferred 
• Experience in SHE management systems. 
• Good project and task management skills. 
• Strong administrative and organisational skills. 
• Proficiency in computer applications. 
• Ability to work with minimal supervision. 
• Good interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. 
• A practical hands-on approach with the ability to analyse, problem-solve and take corrective action.

CHEMICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN 
Hulamin is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Chemical Laboratory Technician to join the Rolled Products Chemical Laboratory. This position is based in Pietermaritzburg. 
 
The core responsibilities of the position include: 
• Sampling of Chemicals, Oils, and other Raw Materials 
• Performing quality tests to release products to internal and external customers
• Preparing chemicals for test procedures 
• Reporting results to relevant plant personnel 
• Recording and archiving samples and data 
• Assistance in the general functioning of the laboratories, including housekeeping. 
• Conduct routine and non-routine analysis. 
• To proficiently operate all testing equipment available in the laboratory 
• To verify and calibrate laboratory equipment. 
• To ensure that all chemical testing is conducted and completed in the expected time. 
• Co-ordinating functions associated with release procedures in both Physical Testing and Metallurgical Laboratories 
• Preparing metal samples (including the use of a metal lathe, bandsaw, and circular saw) 
• Perform plant functions when required. 
• Development of lab test methods. 
 
The core requirements for the position include: 
• B-tech or National diploma with current enrolment in BTech studies- Analytical Chemistry. 
• Min 2 years experience in a laboratory environment 
• The ability to operate mechanical and sophisticated laboratory equipment. 
• The ability to interpret test results to add value to plant process control 
• Good communication skills 
• Computer literacy 
• Ability to work under pressure 
• The ability to work as a team both in the lab and in the plant 
• Willingness to overtime.
