PLANNING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
 
1 X TOWN PLANNER 
(Job Id Number: 2/2/1/001) 
Salary: R485 141.16 per annum (Job level 5) 
Job Purpose: To control the developed & undeveloped urban and rural environment.

Key Performance Areas: The Town Planner must ensure that the daily work is done to satisfaction and to achieve the objectives of Council. He/she will be responsible for:  Coordinating town planning activities  Facilitating contracts and appointments for town planning projects  Monitor implemented projects  Provide staff supervision. 
 
Requirements: National Diploma in Town and Regional Planning or relevant qualification and registration with the relevant body, Three (03) years’ relevant experience, Driver’s license.
