ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (PERMANENT)
Salary: R 444 036.00 per annum. SR9

Minimum requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Human Resource management or Labour Relations or Administration Related Qualification, Plus three to four years’ experience in Human Resource Management or Human Resource Development or Labour Relations Environment at supervisory level Intro Persal Certificate will be an added advantage A valid Driver’s licence.
Knowledge: Knowledge of Public Services legislations and policies related to Human Resource Management Knowledge and understanding of the TVET Administration Knowledge and understanding of the Higher Education sector Knowledge of PERSAL and Job Evaluation
Competencies: Administrative Planning and organizing Financial Management Report writing Communication and interpersonal Problem solving Computer literacy Analytical Client oriented Project management Team leadership People management.
Duties: Oversee Human Resource Management and Administration services Oversee Human Resource Development services Coordinate and facilitate Organizational Development, services Coordinate and facilitate Human Resource Planning (HRP) and Employment Equity (EE) services Provide Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) services Develop and implement Human Resource policies and manuals Management of all Human, Financial and other resources of the unit.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS AT GERT SIBANDE TVET COLLEGE IN TERMS OF SECTION 10 (6) OF THE CET ACT, ACT 16 OF 2006, AS AMENDED.
According to the CET Act, Act 16 of 2006, as amended. Ten (10) external members must serve on the College‘s Council whereby the appointment of five (5) persons is done by the Minister in terms of Section 10 (4) (b) of the Act. The Council, in consultation with the Minister, must appoint 4 additional members in terms of section 10 (6).
The public, business, industry, and any other relevant organization are invited to nominate suitably, qualified and interested persons to make their contribution towards skills, social and economic development via the College, and have the knowledge and relevant qualifications as members of the Gert Sibande College Council.
The qualifications, skills or attributes, and experience necessary for consideration for the positions would be one or a good mix of the following:
•Financial Management, Risk, Auditing, and proven practical experience •Human Resource management, labour legislation, and general people management skills •ICT and ICT Governance •Business and industry experience at the Senior Management level (proven strategic and leadership skills)
TERM OF OFFICE AND REMUNERATION PACKAGE: Members will be remunerated according to the College Council’s remuneration policy in line with National Treasury Regulations. The term of Office of Council members is five (5) years. The appointment of these section 10(6) Council members is subject to approval by the Minister of Higher Education. Please take note that correspondence will only be with the appointment candidates. If you have not been contacted within three (3) months of the closing date of the advertisement, please accept that your application was unsuccessful. Also, take note that you may be subjected to a vetting process should you be recommended for an appointment.
