MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: 
  • Ensure strategic decision-making by the municipality acknowledging trends to improve its service delivery capacities. 
  • Ensure that skills development is fully integrated into the municipality’s HR strategy and Integrated Development Plan (IDP), reducing critical skills gaps and improving service continuity. 
  • Ensure critical skills and learning interventions are identified enabling the organisation to plan, prioritise and implement programmes that contribute to efficiency and quality of service delivery. 
  • Ensure an adequate service to all employees regarding career planning and development.
  • Ensure staff members are capacitated through targeted training, resulting in improved compliance, service delivery standards, and employee morale. 
  • Ensure effective participation in learning opportunities benefitting the local community and demonstrate social responsibility by the municipality. 
  • Effectively report on post-training assessments informing future training planning and budgeting. 
  • Ensure the municipality submits a WSP/ATR in accordance with applicable legislation and LGSETA protocols. 
  • Ensure that accredited and effective relationships contribute to cost-effective training and development practices, enhancing municipality standing as an employer of choice. 
  • Ensure the Section contribute positively towards meeting the people management objectives at the municipality. 
  • Ensure accurate financial control regarding training interventions.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO THE POST
