The Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA) is a provincial public entity and agency of the Gauteng Provincial Government established under the auspices of the Department of Economic Development in terms of the Gauteng Tourism Act (10 of 2001, as amended). The mission of the GTA is to develop, promote, coordinate and facilitate responsible and sustainable tourism in the Gauteng global city region, and to create a world-class destination that attracts business visitors and all other tourists to the province, benefits our people, and contributes to job creation and economic growth.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION MANAGER

R548 910 to R815 340 per annum (all-inclusive)

The GTA seeks to appoint a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager who will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating programs and projects, both new and established, thus providing accountability and ensuring efficiency and success for all programs and projects. The Manager wit be responsible for establishing, modifying and monitoring key performance indicators in order to report and record physical progress for specific programs and projects.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: The Manager will be responsible for: Performance information reporting and evidence collection • Using established M&E Metrics, conduct reviews pertaining to strategic planning and performance reporting • Collect data for various trend analyses of performance reporting • Ensure the quality of data collected, and verify the accuracy of reported data • Implement the management of performance information framework • Implement organisational performance reviews • Implement an information management system specific to performance information reporting • Manage organisational compliance activities in relation to M&E in order to achieve statutory requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager cats for a highly skilled individual who has a minimum qualification of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in organisational performance. Of the 5 years' experience, at least 3 years experience working in a multiple public sector agency is required.
