Purpose of the job: To provide professional Legal Advisor services for the Gauteng Partnership Fund.
 
 
Core Responsibilities
 Assist the Legal Executive to prepare/review draft legal documents (Legal Agreements, Legal Opinions) for GPF 
 Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance Issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved. 
 Support projects team in negotiation, execution, and closing of all project documentation. 
 Manage litigation by and against the GPF, and liaise with external legal service providers. 
 Coordinate with external service providers on legal aspects of due diligence, bid preparation, and project financing structures; including dealing with conveyancing issues 
 Work with internal teams to ensure timely compliance with all conditions precedent and other contractual obligations 
 Support the GPF in responding to various client requirements, ensuring GPF’s contractual, financial, and reputational position is fully protected. 
 Facilitate and maintain effective Contract Management system 
 Compliance and loan agreement management 
 Undertake legal research requested by GPF business units. 
 Assist with monitoring, legislative and regulatory compliance requirements and incorporation into GPF policies and procedures. 
 Conduct staff Training in order to ensure that the GPF is compliant with all applicable legislation 
 Provide legal support to GPF business units 
 
Requirements
 Relevant Law Degree 
 Minimum of 3 years’ experience as the Legal Advisor/ Attorney 
 Admission as an attorney or advocate
