Construction Project Manager

Purpose of the job: To ensure that a project is completed on time, within budget and to the required quality and standards. Develop, maintain and oversee project plans as and when required. 

 
Core Responsibilities
 Assessment of mega & infrastructure projects developers’ technical project information; 
 Monitoring and evaluation of mega & infrastructure projects implementation; 
 Management and reporting of construction risk on site (construction risk and progress reporting); 
 Verification and management of claims by mega & infrastructure projects developers; 
 Ensuring Developers’ compliance with Subsidy and Turnkey Development Agreements 
 Management of the PRT’s appointed to the mega projects 
 Management of quality of developed housing units within the Mega projects 
 
Requirements
The following are the minimum requirements for the Construction Project Manager candidate: 
 A minimum of Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management Qualification Degree;
 Professionally Registered with SACPCMP; 
 Extensive experience on large property development projects: Residential, industrial and commercial; 
 Knowledge in JBCC, GCC and NEC 3 forms of contracts; 
 8 years’ experience 
 Must have; 
 Must be able to read blueprints and structural drawings and plan sets; 
 Must understand construction procedures, material and project management and risk management policies and procedures; 
 Must be familiar with quality and health and safety standards; 
 Must be in possession of a driver license; 
 Project management in Mega projects is added advantage 
 
Technical
 Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Projects and CCS
 Must have experience in managing budgets for large construction projects;
 Competent in MS Excel, Word, power point, outlook
 Decision making
