SENIOR MANAGER: INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT 
Annual Total cost to Company: (R 1 345 977.96 – R 1 615 174.35) Negotiable 
Twelve (12) months fixed term contract 
Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP) is a Provincial Government agency established under the auspices of the Department of Economic Development, to provide non-financial support; financial support; and coordinate stakeholders for the benefit of SMMEs in Gauteng. 
 
Purpose of position 
To support SMMEs and COOPS through the commissioning of detailed analysis of business needs and tactically advising on financial business development support initiatives/ interventions thereby enabling the achievement of GEP’s strategic objectives. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Analyses GEP’s strategy to determine the objectives of the unit. 
  • Develops an operational plan aligned to GEP’s strategy. 
  • Development and Implement partnership strategy 
  • Obtains and secures the associated resources to enable implementation of the operational plan 
  • Identifies risks and develops contingency plans. 
  • Develops the Investment strategy to attract new emerging black industrial enterprises for funding 
  • Ensures implementation of targeted tailor-made funding solutions with measurable impact
  • Monitors performance against agreed targets/goals and initiates action to grow and strengthen the SMME & COOPS portfolio benefiting from financial support 
  • Ensures compliance with Financial regulations, applicable legislative framework and procedures 
  • Enhances the provision of accessible and timely financial solutions 
  • Ensures and Monitors the provision of quality funding solutions services to SMMEs and Co-ops in Gauteng Province 
  • Ensures quality and compliance in project deal structuring, and presentation to committees and internal and external stakeholders 
  • Overseers and Ensures strict adherence to proper due diligence processes for all new funding applications 
  • Overseers the finalization of legal agreements / SLAs in relation to the approved funding
  • Overseers the Implementation of briefs, engaging the specialist support from partners and other Developmental Financial Institutions (DFIs) 
  • Identifies patterns in client’s investments that could lead to formation of new funding solutions 
  • Determines financial allocations in accordance with deliverables. 
  • Sets annual performance objectives for employees. 
  • Develops action plans to address poor performance. 
 
Minimum Requirements 
  • Post Graduate degree in Commerce/Business/ Corporate Finance (NQF level 8) 
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Financial Lending with 5 years at Management level 
  • FICA Certification advantageous
