All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise that intends to test relevant technical elements of the job, the logistics of which will be communicated by the Department. Following the interview and technical exercise, it is mandatory that the selection committee will recommend candidates to attend a generic managerial competency assessment. The competency assessment will be testing generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMS competency assessment tools. The successful candidate will be required to enter into an annual performance agreement within three (3) months upon commencement of duty. The incumbent will be required to disclose her/his financial interest in accordance with the prescribed regulations. Qualifications will be verified (It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Preference will be given to women and Persons with disabilities. DUTIES : Perform final review and approvals or audits on project designs according to design principles or theory Coordinate design efforts and integration across disciplines to ensure seamless integration with current technology. DUTIES : Overall management of the Directorate: Human Resources Planning and Administration, (including overseeing the development and implementation of business plans outlining critical strategic/service delivery improvement interventions to be implemented in accordance with the relevant legislation, the department’s strategic plan and service delivery needs, for all units in span of control.
