Duties :

• Supervising of Food Service Aids under your supervision. Responsible for receiving, storage, issuing and control of stock and assist with cost control measures. Able to read menus, recipes and supervise the production, issuing, portioning and distribution of meals. Supervise and control washing of dishes, crockery and cutlery. Supervise the usage of the dish washing machine and macerator by sub-ordinates. Ensure hygiene and safety measures are maintained and practiced in all areas in the Food Service Unit. Assist with preparing meals and décor for functions. Do ward rounds and assist with plate waste studies and client satisfaction surveys. Responsible for control and safekeeping of large and small equipment and function items. Monitoring and reporting of faulty equipment and condemning of broken and redundant items.

Must have post basic qualification with a duration of at least 1 year, accredited with the SANC in Child Nursing. Duties :

• Provide optimal, holistic, specialised nursing care with set standards and within a professional/ legal framework. Effective utilisation of resources. Participate in training and research. Provide support to nursing services. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Act as shift leader in the unit (where necessary). Demonstrate effective communication with patients, supervisors and other health professionals and junior colleagues. Implementation of ideal Hospital Framework.
