Directorate: Supply Chain Management – Warehousing
Package: Salary R 257 508.00 per annum (plus benefits)
Requirements
A degree or 3-year National Diploma in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics or any relevant qualification with 5 years’ experience in SCM, preferably warehousing or Grade 12 with 7 years’ experience in SCM, preferably warehousing. Must have practical knowledge of SAP and SRM. Sound knowledge of SCM Policies and Regulations, PFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations, and Labour Relations processes. Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles. Must be computer literate with Microsoft Word and Excel. Problem solving and conflict management skills. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team. Ability to organise and plan work accordingly. Ability to act with tact and discretion. Must be self-motivated.
Duties
Supervision of all functions regarding warehouse management (Receiving, Transit, Stores, Issuing, Recordkeeping, and Bi- annual Stocktaking). Approval of GRV`s. Clearing of Web Cycles. Handling of all warehouse related queries. Supervision of staff in the stores which include amongst other, time and attendance, discipline, leave, and general duties. Conduct PMDS of subordinates. Attend to and resolve audit queries. Ensure that orders for stock items are placed on time. Be responsible for arranging official training for warehouse staff which includes in-service training. Ensure compliance with warehouse prescripts. Ensure that maximum and minimum stock levels are adhered to.
