FINANCIAL MANAGER

The Finance department mission is to provide the planning and execution as service centre to the mandate of Freedom Park by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Annual Performance Programme.
The Finance department has a vacancy for a Financial Manager.

JOB PURPOSE
To manage all financial and management accounting functions at Freedom Park
JOB OBJECTIVE LEADERSHIP:

SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:
- People management experience;
- Worked in a management role in the public sector;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong excel skills and ERP systems, preferable Sage.
TASK DESCRIPTION:
- To manage the reporting functions to ensure accurate and meaningful financial reporting, including monthly and quarterly management accounting reports and annual financial statements;
- To manage the strategic financial planning activities, such as budget development and procurement monitoring;
- To manage the financial accounting functions to ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions;
- Manage budget and Cash and Bank account.
- To formulate, implement and monitor financial policies and procedures;
- To ensure that assets are accounted for and managed in accordance with statutory requirements, policies and procedures;
- To ensure adherence to all finance-related statutory requirements;
- To ensure that staff are developed, and managed and that an appropriate working environment is created.
- To ensure payment of suppliers within stipulated time-frames, eg within 30 days.
- Provide accurate financial input in strategic reports, such as Annual Performance Plans and Annual Reports etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BCom or BCompt Degree with major subjects in Accountancy, Financial Management, Management Accounting, etc.
- Post-graduate Degree and/or Qualification as a CA (SA) will be an added advantage.
- Financial management in a medium to large public entity with experience in Financial Planning and Analysis and ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of the PFMA, GRAP, Treasury Regulations, Policy Formulation, implementing and monitoring.
- Honesty, integrity and ethical conduct at the highest level
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organisation and presentation skills.
- Dynamic, innovation, creative skills and ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds

INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY
Plan and effectively execute all infrastructure development, maintenance, and contract management of Freedom Park to ensure the visitors have a memorable experience.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Ensure efficient and effective building planning and acquisition of new facilities
- Ensure effective and efficient management of all facilities and preventative maintenance projects according to the preventative maintenance plan.
- Manage Facilities Management company and other related contracts.
- Ensure functionality of the Freedom Park is at 100%.
- Ensure an effective and efficient budget and expenditure of all infrastructure and maintenance related projects.
- Ensure reporting and compliance on the User Asset Management Plan.
- Ensure effective management of infrastructure grant.
- Efficiently and effectively manage all Freedom Park retail contracts.
- Manage and handle all Freedom Park assets according to Asset Management policy.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Building Science or Facilities Management
Experience
- Infrastructure and building and facilities management or maintenance.
Knowledge
- Infrastructure management. Project Management.
