Provide in service training to students for experiential learners in manufacturing of Orthotic and Prosthetic devices. 5. Participate in continuous professional development programmes.

REQUIREMENTS : Appropriate qualification or prescribed in-service training (with a duration of less than 2 years) that allows for the required registration with HPCSA as a Dental Assistant. Grade 1: Experience; None after obtaining an appropriate qualification or prescribed in-service training that allows for the required registration with HPCSA where applicable in the relevant profession. DUTIES : To assist the Dentist/ Oral Hygienist/ Dental Therapist in the treatment of patients. Thorough preparing and cleaning of the surgery theatre and rural clinics before and after patients were treated to ensure optimal service delivery. Identification of instruments and preparation of instrument trays for specific procedures. Restocking surgical equipment as well as the handling of administration tasks, updating of statistics and the planning of daily appointments. Complete patient record cards including charting during examination.
