AgriSETA was established as the Sector Education and Training Authority for the economic sub-sectors that include primary and secondary agriculture through the Skills Development Act of 1998.

BURSARIES, INTERNSHIPS, GRADUATE PLACEMENT, ARTISAN DEVELOPMENT
 
 
AgriSETA invites all AgriSETA levy paying employers, Commodity Organizations, Universities, TVET's, Agricultural Colleges, NGO's, CBO's, Community Based Co-operatives, and Small BEE firms to forward applications for Bursaries, Internships, Artisan Development and Graduate Placement.
 
PLEASE NOTE – Due to the high volume of applications received by AgriSETA in the past, stakeholders are advised to limit application to absolute scarce and critical skills and priority programmes per the National Skills Development Plan (NSDP).
 
A valid South African Revenue Service (SARS) VAT Certificate would accompany contracts during submission of documents. No contracts shall be accepted / captured in the AgriSETA system unless a valid tax certificate is provide. Failure to submit a valid tax certificate shall jeopardise your approval and funds shall be reallocated.
 

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 15 September 2020 at 16h30.
 
GUIDELINES
  • Applications are open from 01 August 2020 to 15 September 2020.
  • Applicants will be informed of the outcomes between 11 November 2020 to 13 December 2020.
  • Only online and e-mail applications system shall be used to avoid loss of documents and to promote a paperless environment.
  • Only online and e-mail DULY completed applications forms with relevant supporting documents shall be considered for evaluation.
  • Only employers in the agricultural sector can apply for employed and unemployed learners.
  • To access the AgriSETA online application system, please visit the AgriSETA website, Home Page, Indicium system.
  • No walk-in and hand delivered applications shall be allowed
  • No late application will be considered.
  • Priority shall be given to Scarce and Critical skills / Occupations in high demand in the agricultural sector.

BURSARIES
  • Please note that only agricultural related qualifications shall be supported for unemployed learners while ONLY levy paying companies can apply for other qualifications supporting their enterprises.
  • Funding to employed learners should be limited to their actual expenses related to the learning programme.
  • Applicants will be informed of the outcomes between 11 November 2020 to 13 December 2020.
  • To access the AgriSETA online application system, please visit the AgriSETA website, Home Page, Indicium system.
  • No funding shall be provided to students who receive funding from other Government sources. e.g. NSFAS.
  • Learners who have been funded the previous year and would like to continue with the same qualification, are supposed to re-apply (Continuations).
 

INTERNSHIPS/GRADUATE PLACEMENT
  • Funding for Internships shall only be for learners who require practical exposure in order to obtain a qualification in agriculture.
  • Funding for Graduate Placement shall only be for learners who and have qualifications and require workplace experience in order to increase their chances of employment.
 

ARTISAN DEVELOPMENT
  • Employers who would like to apply for learners who will like to enrol for trades.
