Employment: Permanent: Employment Contract is limited to the licence duration of the SETA.
Report: Specialist: ETQA
Purpose: To provide implementation and coordination support to the quality assurance function in line with FoodBev SETA policies, plans and strategies
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform Co-ordination of QCTO processes
Attend to AQP (Assessment Quality Partner) queries and advise Training Providers on assessment processes
Review and assist Training Provider requests for assessments
Ensures that all QCTO requirements of the SETA are adhered to
Monitors Service Provider’s adherence to AQP requirements and that of the QCTO.
Represents FoodBev SETA at ETQA forums as and when required.
Coordinates events such as meetings, workshops and site visits.
Provides support on the AQP/QCTO administrative systems for all stakeholders.
Receives records, distributes and tracks all incoming and outgoing correspondence / submissions in order to improve response time of stakeholder correspondence.
Provides documentation upon request to stakeholders.
Maintains the Service Provider details on the Management Information System to ensure accurate and current information.
Scan and upload all QCTO/AQP documents onto systems for record purposes.
Verify the database of recommended certificates and learner records.
Assist stakeholders in relation to feedback requests for recommended certificates to the QCTO.
Respond to enquiries relating to certificates recommended to the QCTO by liaising with other internal departments, if necessary to resolve issues.
Produce certification recommendation reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Assist Auditors by preparing the audit packs as requested for both internal and external audits related to certification recommended to the QCTO.
Provide adhoc administrative assistance as and when required.
Maintain and update ETQA databases
Assist in the drafting of QCTO quarterly report
Assist in QCTO liaison regarding all QCTO delegated functions
Assist with the development and maintenance of the Quality Management system for QCTO implementation
Research and benchmark other SETA QCTO pilot projects and implementation plans
Monitor the development of new qualifications and latest development on the legacy and/or current QCTO qualifications
Monitor and ensure SAQA/QCTO qualifications and unit standards amendments
Monitor and ensure QCTO qualifications and/or part qualifications development and implementation.
Participate in SAQA and QCTO structures, liaise with the structures and provide reports on outcomes and resolutions of working groups and meetings
Monitor, assist with and ensure that ETQA queries are resolved timeously and request attended to.
Perform other ETQA relevant functions
Coordinate the QCTO implementation plans
Compile ETQA Reports
Compile AQP/DQP/QCTO Reports
People / Staff Management
Guide, lead and direct staff so that they are able to achieve the objectives set for them
Monitor and manage staff performance of staff within the division as appropriate in compliance with the Performance Management policy and processes
Ensure achievement of department planned goals and targets.
Coach and mentor staff as appropriate to improve performance
Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
Practice sound labour relations within the approved conditions of service
Ensure the implementation and adherence of the human resources policies, procedures and practices within the department
Ensure that the values of FBS are understood and lived Essential Requirements
A National Diploma in Public Administration (NQF Level 6) or equivalent.
3 – 5 administration experience of which 3 years must have been in quality assurance.
Understanding of the transformative elements of the HRD legislation (Skills Development Act, SAQA Act, etc.)
Exposure to auditing
Knowledge of industry legislation, the various stakeholders, their responsibilities, and compliance requirements
A valid SA driver’s license
