Description
Purpose of the Job:
To provide a proofreading and editorial services, and oversight of documents and publications that are externally facing to coordinate, and revise material, and to ensure that the FSCA’s corporate identity principles and standards are consistently applied across all publications. Editors are responsible for ensuring that content is clear, easily understood, interesting, and accurate. The person appointed to this position will report to the Departmental Head: Communication and Language Services Department.

Key Performance Areas:
• Edit and proofread a variety of documents including regulatory reports, press releases, newsletters, website content, etc.
• Ensure all content is accurate, clear, and consistent with FSCA’s communication style and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain a high standard of written content that is accessible and engaging for all stakeholders.
• Ensure all written materials comply with relevant regulatory requirements and are aligned with FSCA’s mandate.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and financial sector developments to produce relevant and timely content.
• Work closely with the Corporate Services Division and Stakeholder Management team to plan and execute communication strategies.
• Liaise with subject matter experts within the FSCA to gather information and ensure the accuracy of technical content.
• Manage multiple editorial projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Oversee the production process for printed and digital materials, coordinating with designers, printers, and other vendors as necessary.
• Implement and uphold editorial standards and best practices across all FSCA communications.
• Conduct final reviews of documents to ensure high-quality output.

Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of editorial experience, preferably within the financial sector or a regulatory environment. Strong understanding of financial regulations, market conduct, and the broader financial services landscape. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to translate complex regulatory and financial information into clear, concise, and engaging content. Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and editorial software will be an added advantage.

SYSTEM ENGINEER: FINANCIAL SERVICES TRIBUNAL (Pretoria)

Description
Purpose of the job:
To provide technical proficiency and support in troubleshooting systems-related issues, ensuring systems security and availability, optimizing, installing, testing, designing, implementing, diagnosing problems, and maintaining the infrastructure and networks. The person appointed to this position will report to the IT Manager.

Key Performance Areas:
• Restore normal ICT services to individual users that are impacted as quickly as possible.
• Minimize the adverse impact of incidents on the business by adhering to service level commitments timelines.
• Develop solutions, implement projects, and set up monitoring systems using cloud-based computing services such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc
• Provide best practice and expert technical support for solutions that involve cloud services, cloud infrastructure/platform hosting management, and cloud   security, including integration with other  third-party products
• Provide ICT disaster recovery services at the disaster recovery site related to the infrastructure support and install, configure, and monitor security   systems
• Build, deploy, and manage desktop and infrastructure systems and platforms including communication, collaboration, and network infrastructure.
• Maintain desktop and infrastructure hardware, Active Directory, DFS, Terminal Servers, Hyper V, Internet Information Server, System Centre Configuration   Manager (SCCM), and file server and Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environment including Teams, OneDrive and Intune and others.
• Liaise with external vendors to resolve incidences and problems whilst observing governance.

Requirements
We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Systems Engineer to join the Financial Services Tribunal, with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in infrastructure support services. The ideal candidate should have a Higher Certificate in Information Technology or Computer Systems Engineering and a certificate in Microsoft Azure, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator, or Certified Teams Administrator Associate, a Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Systems Engineering will be advantageous.
