PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary purpose of this position is to fulfil the organisational objectives of overseeing ICT functions within FASSET. Developing strategies and ensuring that all systems necessary to drive business strategies and support operations are in place and streamlined to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in a digitally transformed environment.
 
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Work close with the executives to align organisational strategy, business and financial goals to the enterprise architecture and ICT strategy.
• Develop and implement a digital transformation and automation strategy.
• Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations.
• Design and customise technological systems and platforms to improve customer service.
• Promote and align business goals and ICT programmes and priorities.
• Produce ICT Governance, Risk and Compliance Management Framework.
• Determine ROI and measure delivery on ICT Projects.
• Stay up to date with the latest and new technologies.
• Direct and organise projects and measure KPA and SLA delivery.
• Analyse cost, value and risks.
• Develop, review, and update all relevant policies.
• Lead and guide ICT team.
• Co-ordinate ICT projects to match business requirements and tracking project guidelines.
• Managing department budget.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to maximise performance, security & efficiency and propose the implementation of such technologies where applicable.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Qualification
▪ An Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) in Information Technology / Computer Science/equivalent qualification
▪ A Master’s Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science will be advantageous.
Professional Membership
▪ Professional ICT body membership and relevant ICT certification will be advantageous.
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential:
▪ Minimum of ten (10) years ICT management experience of which 5 years must be a senior management position.
▪ Experience in DPSA implementation of Corporate Governance of ICT will be advantageous.

Salary
The salary range to be offered for this position is R 1 518 441- R 1 695 928 p.a. (TCTC).

PROJECTS ADMINISTRATOR

JOB IDENTIFICATION

Reporting Line: Projects Specialist
Full-time/Part-time/Contract: Permanent
 
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative and project support to the Projects Department including project management and coordination.
 
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Client queries (telephonic, face-to-face, and written) are dealt with, and call centre referrals are addressed.
• Update and inform key stakeholders to ensure stakeholders speak highly of the service quality and delivery.
• Respond to enquiries from all stakeholders, the public and internal clients.
• Represent FASSET in a professional manner telephonically, frontline reception, meetings and other forums as required.
• Keeping proper record of all active project’s contracts, invoices, and other related project documents well maintained.
• Ensure that project records (both hard copies filing and electronic systems) are updated and reflect the correct project documents.
• Implementing and maintain a filing system that make it easy to find any document quickly and efficiently.
• Coordinate all supporting documents pertaining to performance indicators targets.
• Perform verification of the learner documents against the Technical Indicator Description (TID) requirements
• Accurate capturing of learner information or other performance information on SETMIS or Survey Hub.
 
SUMMARY
• Follow up on submissions of reporting data from Service Providers
• Assist in project visits and monitoring.
• Assist in planning and coordinating site visits logistics.
• Assist in ensuring that projects are delivered successfully.
• Provide administrative support with regards to the implementation of specific projects.
• Assist in providing performance related supporting documents during audits.
• Assist in providing finance related supporting documents during audits.
• Logistics management – organizing meeting rooms Secretariat support - minute taking and distribution of minutes and agenda, technology requirements for meetings are organized.
• Events support – preparation of events documents including register, branding requirements etc.
• Issue correspondence (letters, e-mails, faxes) approved by the Manager.
• Assist the Specialists with ad-hoc activities/ tasks related to the successful implementation of projects and other general duties.
• Monitor the duration of a contracts, identify those contract that are expiring and the closing of some contracts.
• Manage invoice payment process from start to end.
• Log the invoices and monitor process.
• Track project expenditure according to planned budget every month.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Qualification 
• Matric/Grade 12.
• Diploma in Business Management/Administration or Public Administration/Management/ or Project Management or Finance or Equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6.
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential: 
• 2 years administrative experience.
• Experience in the Public Sector will be advantageous.
