ICT PROJECT MANAGER (6 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT)

JOB IDENTIFICATION

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To lead the planning, execution and delivery of ICT projects and manage the interface between FASSET stakeholders and Service Providers.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Define deliverables, milestones, and success criteria.
• Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Coordinate and manage cross functional project teams, including ICT specialists, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Assign tasks, set priorities, and provide clear guidance to team members.
• Foster collaboration and maintain a positive team environment.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed and aligned with project goals.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and progress reports.
• Identify potential risks and develop
• Address project issues promptly to minimise impact on scope, cost, and timelines.
• Track project budgets, expenditures, and resource utilisation.
• Ensure that project deliverables meet technical, functional, and quality standards.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop handover reports for all project management deliverables and artefacts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Qualification • A Degree/B-Tech ICT/Computer Science or relevant and equivalent qualification at NQF Level 7
• A Post Graduate Degree is an added advantage.
Certification • Project management certifications (e.g. PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile) will be an added advantage.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an ICT Project Manager.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello).

The TCTC to be offered for this position is R 1 064 013,22 p.a (TCTC)
