The Film and Publication Board (FPB) is a statutory body, with its main task being the classification of films, videos, DVDs, computer games, and certain publications, including online content for their suitable age viewership. Our mission is to "ensure effective child protection, empowerment of consumers, and a contribution to the economic growth of the industry through regulation of media content ".
 
The Film and Publication Board intends to promote equity (race, gender, and disability) through the filling of this post with a candidate whose appointment will promote representativity in line with the numeric targets contained in our Employment Equity Plan
 
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following positions in the Head office of FPB based in Centurion Pretoria.



CHIEF AUDIT EXECUTIVE
Programme: Programme 1: Administration
Type: Permanent
Reference: F001
Patterson Grade: D4
Remuneration: R1411 273 CTC per Annum
 
Requirements: A qualification (NQF 7) in Auditing or Financial Management as recognized by SAQA • A Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), CISA, CRMA will be an added advantage. Must be a Member of IIA (SA). A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a senior managerial level/Director obtained within governance, risk, compliance, or auditing environment • Knowledge and experience of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations in Internal Auditing. Experience in the management of processes and systems in a Regulatory environment is essential.
 
Duties:
1. Strategic Leadership and Stakeholder Management: Develop a 3-Year Rolling Internal Audit
2. Plan and review the Internal Audit Strategy and Annual Performance Plans
3. Review the Internal Audit Charter that reflects the scope, responsibility, and authority.
4. Initiate awareness of the Internal Audit function within the FPB and other stakeholders through client engagements
5. Provide support to strategic stakeholders in the achievement of their strategic objectives through the implementation of governance, risk management, and internal controls Audit Committee and Management Reporting
6. Develop an Internal Audit Annual Performance Plan and report on progress about the strategic plan quarterly to internal strategic partners and the Audit Committee
7. Initiate the updating of the findings register and present to the Audit Committee
8. Provide progress of Internal Audit functionalities and present Internal Audit reports to the Audit Committee Audit
9. Process–Risk Assessment, Audit Plan, Assurance, and Consulting Services: Oversee the completion of the regularity, IT, performance, compliance, and forensic audit processes
10. Provide advice and guidance on all audit engagements to be conducted
11. Provide quality assurance on audit projects and reports before issuance, thereof Develop audit assessment tools and verify the integrity of tools before submitting to the Audit Committee Resource Management: Develop institutional think-tanks about internal audit about Regularity, Performance, IT, Compliance, and Quality Assurance to achieve the audit objectives.
12. Provide inputs to the annual budget and the adjustments thereto and monitor expenditures against the approved budget.
13. Initiate the development of adequate capacity development to provide for demands posed by stakeholders Process Improvements and Research
14. Initiate research on the latest trends with reputable institutions to improve and refine processes in the enhancement of efficiency.
15. Perform benchmarking exercises with local and international institutions on global trends, latest developments, and emerging technologies within the internal audit environment.
16. Develop and implement the Combined Assurance Framework.
17. Develop and implement a Sustainable Audit Strategy in line with Audit Methodologies and Resource Plans to ensure continued effective and efficient Internal Audit service delivery
 
 
 
 
 
HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGER

Requirements:
  • Post Graduate qualification in Industrial Psychology, Behavioural Science, or Human Resources (NQF 7 or higher)
  • Five years’ experience as a Manager in Human Capital.
  • Knowledge of HR Best Practices, Payroll (Sage People) People Management, Labour Relations, Change
  • Management, and Talent Management.
  • Financial Acumen and PFMA compliance as well as a deep understanding of all
  • l -related legislation. Proven leadership and Human Capital reporting skills.
 
Competencies:
• Proven working experience as an HR Manager
• People-oriented and results-driven
• Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases
• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
• Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
